How to Survey for a Dig Pile in The Sims 4

Surveying makes your sims have the ability to have a dig pile appear out of nowhere instead of looking for them.
It saves you so much time and energy in the jungle!
How to Survey for a Dig Pile in The Sims 4
The first thing you need to do to survey for a dig pile is reach level four of the archaeology skill. Why? Well, the option to survey for a dig pile doesn’t appear until your sim reaches level four.
You can gain this skill by reading archaeology skill books, excavating dig piles and authenticating artifacts on the archaeology table.
So, at level four you are able to click on the ground pretty much anywhere in Selvadorada and choose survey for dig pile.
I find it’s about a 50/50 shot of whether or not the dig pile will appear and you’ll get a notification if it fails.
When the dig pile appears you can click on it and choose to excavate the dig pile and your sim will get some good artifacts!
