This aspiration is from The Sims 4: Get Famous and requires your sim to max out their fame rank.
They’ll have to deal with screaming fans and tons of paparazzi too!
Gregarious Bonus Trait
When you start your sim off with a popularity aspiration they’ll be given the gregarious trait. This trait makes it so your sim builds friendly relationships faster than other sims.
Unfortunately this isn’t helpful for this aspiration, but it can be helpful in your sim’s private life!
Best Traits for The Sims 4 World Famous Celebrity Aspiration
When you’re playing The Sims your sim’s traits are actually so important and have a huge impact. You’ll want to choose smart traits to make your sim finish this aspiration faster.
However, it really depends on how you want your sim to get famous. If you want them to be a master actor then you’ll want to make them self-assured so they can be confident more often. If you want them to get famous from being a painter, you’ll want them to be creative.
It really depends on what kind of fame your want your sim to gain, since that’s how you’ll get famous and you’ll need to focus on that thing a lot!
Stages of the Aspiration
There are four stages of the sims 4 world famous celebrity aspiration to play through. Each has different tasks but the main task is growing your sim’s celebrity rank and doing everything to make it happen!
Stage One: Aspiring Star
- Become a 2 Star Celebrity
Growing your celebrity rank is going to take some time but there are actually so many ways you can do this and you add more ways when you add more packs. With just the base game and get famous installed you can get famous from tasks like:
- Producing music and releasing it with DJ Mixing
- Publishing Books with the writing skill
- Publishing videos on the more views video station
- Selling Paintings
You can get fame from all of these and of course, being an actor! Any task that can make your sim famous will have a little +Fame icon next to it, so you can see all the different things you can do.
You’ll need to get to rank 2, which may take a while. Just keep doing your sim’s chosen fame gaining task as often as possible!
- Purchase a Fame Perk
When you increase your fame rank you’ll be given fame perk points that you can spend. You’ll find this in your Simology panel in the fame section and you can purchase fun perks that will improve your sim’s lives.
The types of perks you have available depend on what level of celebrity your sim has, you’ll only have a few options to start but the perk tree will open up as you grow your celebrity rank.
Stage Two: Somebody
- Become a 3 Star Celebrity
For this aspiration you’ll need to constantly be growing your fame rank with whatever your chosen path is. A great way to keep growing your rank even when your sim is doing boring things is to get them a streaming drone!
The drones that came with this pack can stream your sim doing things like cooking and you’ll be able to gain fame while they’re live!
- Visit a Celebrity Hot Spot
In Del Sol Valley when you hover over lots you can see a thing that says “Up And Coming Hot Spot” or “Hottest Spot in Town” and these are celebrity hot spots! These are special locations that are going to have a higher chance of celebrities attending.
All you need to do for this is have your sim travel to one of these locations like the Orchid a Go Go Lounge or Studio PBP.
- Host a Meet and Greet
Once your sim reaches the Rising Star Rank (2) of fame they’ll unlock the option to host a fan meet and greet. You’ll find this under the social events menu on your sim’s phone.
You’ll choose a fan meet and greet and pick where you want to have it, it’s best to not do it in your home, we don’t want that closeness with our fans! Weird!
Once the event starts you’ll have tasks to complete like signing autographs and socializing with fans.
If you complete the meet and greet with a gold rank you’ll get a Fan Meet & Greet Accolade trophy in your sim’s inventory that you can display.
Stage Three: Rising Star
- Become a 4 Star Celebrity
Now that you’re a higher level you’ve got more options unlocked to grow your celebrity. You can continue to do your chosen tasks (i.e., painting, acting, etc) but you can also do things like posing for paparazzi and signing autographs for fans.
Having these extra interactions is great because you’ll be able to become a four star celebrity faster.
- Be Asked 3 Times for a Selfie
To be asked for a selfie by a fan you need to give other sims access to you! The best thing you can do it go to one of the up and coming hot spot lots and just hangout there (ideally standing) for a long time.
Fans will come up to you and chat, maybe ask for an autograph or they will ask for your sim to get a selfie with them. You just need to wait it out and sims will eventually ask!
- Deal With The Paparazzi 3 Times
When you’re famous you’ll start to see Paparazzi around taking photos of your sim all the time. How you handle them is up to you, but you have a few options like asking them to leave, posing for them, bribing them to leave or gesturing wildly at them.
If you want to get famous faster, pose for them! Getting your photo taken will spread your fame quicker.
Stage Four: World-Famous Celebrity
- Become a 5 Star Celebrity
Getting to a five star celebrity will take some time, you’ll need to work toward it. Keep doing your chosen task like acting or posting videos with the More Views Video Station. Make sure you’re interacting with fans and paparazzi so you can gain fame in small ways too!
- Receive 25 Positive Responses from Inciting Cheers
When you’re at level 4 or higher you’ll be able to click on your sim and choose incite cheers and your sim will do some funny movement and try and get people to cheer for them.
You want to do this when you have a lot of sims around, so you can get as many positive reactions as you can. You’ll definitely need to do this more than once, but it’ll add them to the total each time so you can have it be cumulative.
- Sign 3 Autographs
Your final task is to sign autographs for fans, you’ll do this by finding sims who are fans and choosing sign autograph.
Your sim will pull out a picture and sign it for the sim who is hopefully so excited! If you offer autographs for sims who aren’t a fan they may not want it though, which is sad!
Unstoppable Fame Reward Trait
When you finish off the sims 4 world famous celebrity aspiration your sim will be given the unstoppable fame reward trait. It’s description says “Sims with unstoppable fame are immortalized celebrities, incapable of experiencing fame decay over time. They’re so comfortable in the limelight they’ll never react poorly toward those pesky paparazzi. They also receive an extra Fame Perk point.”
The best part about this trait is that you never lose your fame! Your sim could never do another thing to be famous again and they’ll get to stay as famous as they are when they gain it!
