If you love love you should play with the Sims 4 soulmate aspiration!
This aspiration comes with the base game of The Sims 4 and is all about being with someone forever.
You’ll have your sim being married and becoming soulmates and going on amazing dates!
Alluring Bonus Trait
When a sim starts with any of the romantic aspirations they are going to be given the alluring bonus trait. This trait is great because it makes them have an easier time with any romantic interactions!
Best Traits for The Sims 4 Soulmate Aspiration
When you’re playing The Sims the traits your sims have can have a huge impact on their life. Here are some traits that can help with this aspiration:
- Romantic: Sims with the romantic trait are going to get flirty moodlets more often which makes dates better and just romance in general!
- Loyal: Loyal sims are great for this because they aren’t going to want to cheat and will stay with their partner with glee.
- Beguiling: This is a reward store trait you can purchase with satisfaction points. Beguiling is great because when your sim has it you can click on a target sim and choose beguile and it will immediately make the other sim feel flirty!
You also have the option to add lot traits to your sim’s household, a great option if you have The Sims 4: City Living is to add the Romantic Aura lot trait because it makes sims flirty more often.
Stages of the Aspiration
There are four stages of the sims 4 soulmate aspiration to play through and each has cute things to do with your partner. You’ll need to become soulmates and go on high quality dates!
Stage One: Amore Amateur
- Have a Romantic Partner
When you get to around 50% romance with another sim you can find the option to ask to be romantic partner. You’ll find this under the relationship menu or it may appear in the initial social menu as well.
- Go on 2 Dates
In this part of the sims 4 soulmate aspiration you’ll need to go on two dates, but they don’t have to be good dates quite yet. To ask a sim on a date you have two options. The first is to click on the sim and choose romance > ask on date.
The second option is to go to your sim’s phone and go to social > ask on date. When you do this you’ll get to choose a location and your sim will travel there and the date will start.
Take a sim on two dates and you’ll satisfy this requirement!
Stage Two: Marriage Material
- Become an Adult
Everything in the first stage could’ve happened with your sim as a teen, but now you must be an adult! Your sim will need to either start as a young adult or older, or age up from a teen to a young adult to satisfy this requirement.
- Be Married to BFF
Your final task for this part of the aspiration is to be married to your BFF. So, you need to get married AND use the become best friends interaction.
You can either get married THEN become BFFs or be BFFs and then get married, it doesn’t matter what order. To get married you need to grow your relationship together, already be romantic partners and then when propose appears use that interaction.
Then you can plan a wedding event or elope immediately to just get married on the spot.
To become best friends you’ll need to reach 80% friendship with another sim and become best friends will appear. Click that and you’ll be BFFs.
You can go into the other sim’s profile at any time to see your relationship status. These sims are best friends, spouses and soulmates!
Stage Three: Love Handler
- Earn Silver on 2 Dates with Spouse
When you go on dates with another sim you’ll see a menu appear in the top left corner that has a bunch of tasks to complete. As you complete these tasks you’ll see the bar fill up and you can go from bronze to silver to gold.
This part of the aspiration requires you to get at least silver (gold counts too) on two dates with your spouse.
To get to silver you’ll want to finish the main goal of socializing with your date (that’ll get you to bronze at least) and then do as many of the other tasks as you can. You’ll see things like flirting, telling stories, becoming flirty at the same time (beguiling helps with this!) and more.
When you get silver on a date you’ll get a reward after so it’s worth it!
- Achieve Soulmate Relationship With Spouse
Becoming soulmates isn’t something you actively do. It happens automatically when the two sims who are married have a super high friendship AND romantic relationship with one another.
At any time you can check the other sim’s profile and under relationship you can see if soulmates is there.
Stage Four: Soulmate
- Perform 50 Romantic Gestures With Spouse as Soulmates
This first task of this last stage is to perform 50 romantic gestures. The term romantic gestures applies to almost anything in the romance category from flirting to kissing to offering massages.
You just need to do 50 of these tasks over time, or just love bomb for a second and get them all done at once. It’s up to you!
- Earn Gold on 3 Dates With Spouse
For the final task of this aspiration you’ll need to earn gold on 3 dates with your spouse. This will be easy because at this point you’ve been on a ton of dates with this exact sim, and you know what to do.
To get gold focus your attention on the task bar in the top left corner. Make sure that you finish the main goal of socializing with your date but do as many of the others as you can as quick as you can!
Companion Reward Trait
When your sim finishes the sims 4 soulmate aspiration they are going to be given the companion reward trait. This trait’s description says “Sims with a companion have special interactions with their spouse that help ease the trials of life.”
