This formative moment is only playable if you have The Sims 4: Life & Death installed in your game.
The Sims 4 Show Morbid Curiosity Formative Moment
- “I want to learn everything I can about cemeteries. They’re so cool!”
For this you’ll need to have your sim travel to Ravenwood to the cemetery lot and search for the Cemetery Keeper. In my game this sim was named Sasha Johnson and you’ll need to introduce yourself to them.
You’ll need to go to the friendly interactions menu and under more choices you’ll see ask about cemetery keeping and do that interaction. When you do this you’ll get a notification talking about the undertaker career.
- “It’d be so scary and cool to tell a ghost story in an actual crypt!”
In the same cemetery lot you can find a crypt in the back corner, or you can purchase one for your sim’s lot. You’ll want to click on this and choose tell ghost stories. A menu will open and you’ll need to pick which sims to tell the stories to, if you didn’t bring anyone with you, you can introduce yourself to sims or ghosts around and then try again.
- “I absolutely have to talk with Grim. The Grim.”
For this part your sim wants to talk to the grim reaper, and you have two options. The first, is to have a sim pass away and talk to grim that way but you’ll need to sacrifice someone.
You can also go to Ravenwood and hangout in the Mourningvale neighbourhood because The Grim Reaper wanders around this neighbourhood from time to time. When you find Grim you can introduce yourself and start chatting.
The final way you can summon the grim reaper is to use a charged jet crystal if you have The Sims 4: Crystal Creations in your game.
Whenever you encounter grim, regardless of the way, you’ll want to introduce your sim to grim with a friendly interaction and then chat with them in whatever way to satisfy this requirement.
Morbidly Curious as a Child Reward Trait
When your sim finishes this formative moment they’ll get the Morbidly Curious as a Child trait. This trait’s description says “As a child, this sim was fascinated by death, cemeteries, and the macabre! A little creepy, but now as an adult, they’ll advance more quickly in the reaper career.”
