How to Use Romance Cheats in The Sims 4
Romance is a big part of life and if you know these sims 4 romance cheats you can become lovers easy as pie.
These are great for story building in saves where you don’t have a ton of time to play through it.
How to Use Romance Cheats
Romance cheats work pretty much the same as friendship cheats and allow you to change the relationship between two sims. However, you first need to enable cheat codes by typing testingcheats true into the cheat box which you can open in the following ways:
- PC: Ctrl + Shift + C
- Mac: Command + Shift + C
- Console: All Four Triggers
You’ll also place the romance cheats into that same bar! The cheat code you need to know is ModifyRelationship {Sim A} {Sim B} Amount LTR_Romance_Main which can be intimidating but it’s really easy to use.
You’ll need to input two things, the first being the amount of romance you want. You’ll place a number between -100 and 100 in that space with negatives giving bad relationships and positives giving good pink romance bars.
The other part of this is that you need to place both sim’s names into the cheat code. So let’s say you want 100% romance between Liberty Bell and Travis Scott. For this you’ll edit the cheat to be ModifyRelationship Liberty Bell Travis Scott 100 Amount_LTR_Romance_Main and you’d hit enter and the relationship would be modified.
Note: Sims with three names (i.e., J Huntington III) can’t have these cheats work for them, they must have two names! You can go into cas with full edit and change their name, cheat the relationship and then change it back.
How to Cheat Romance with Mods
The best cheat mod for this is always going to be the UI Cheats Extension mod which lets you right click on parts of the UI in the game to easily cheat everything. For this you’ll right click on the sim in the relationship panel and a menu opens.
In this menu you’ll get to put a number from -100 to 100 in the box to give your sim an amount of romance with that specific sim!
Romance Skill Cheat
If you have The Sims 4: Lovestruck you may also want to cheat the romance skill that comes with that pack. This is super easy to do with the cheat code stats.set_skill_level major_romance 10 that will max out the skill for your sim.
The romance skill unlocks tons of fun interactions for your sims and makes romance a lot more fun so using this skill cheat is super fun!
