Best Traits for This Aspiration

You should always think about traits for your sims that will help them with the aspiration, there is only one slot for traits for kids but there are a few that can help:

  • Active: This aspiration has your sim needing to gain the motor skill and having your kid be active is helpful with that.
  • Outgoing: The other skill for this aspiration is social, and an outgoing sim loves to socialize!

You may also want to add the Child’s Play lot trait from The Sims 4: City Living to your sim’s household. This lot trait makes it so every skill for children is gained more quickly.

Stages of The Sims 4 Playtime Captain Aspiration

There are three stages of this aspiration for your sims, and each has different tasks. Your sim will need to gain the motor and social skills as well as play around and learn to ride a bike!

Stage One: Silly Stomper

  • Stomp Playfully on a Splash Pad

To do this you have two options, you can purchase a splash pad for yourself and add it to your yard to play or you can head to the Gilbert Gardens neighbourhood in San Sequoia and use the one that comes with the world.

Either way you’ll need to get your sim to feel playful first, an easy way to do this is to get them to take a bubble bath before heading over to play.

Once there you’ll click on one of the splash pad items and choose stomp playfully. Your sim will go and stomp in the water and it’s super adorable.

For this aspiration your sim needs to gain the motor skill, which is all about being physical. There are so many ways you can gain this skill including playing on monkey bars or jungle gyms and going swimming.

Your sim can also practice typing on a computer to gain this skill and at level four of the skill they can gain it by playing the game, keyboard commander!

Stage Two: Talky-Talker

This aspiration is about being social while moving your body and gaining the social skill is key. This skill is gained mostly through chatting with others sims but there are other ways to gain it too.

Your sim can also gain it by chatting in kids chatrooms on the computer or chatting with a large stuffed animal like Blarfy!

  • Become Friends with 3 Other Children

The hardest part about this isn’t growing relationships, its actually meeting kids. Your best bets to meet kids in public are to go to parks or the splash pad and hangout. Once you see a child you can click on them and introduce yourself.

Another great option for making friends with other kids is taking advantage of school settings. When your sim is at school you can click on their icon and change it from normal to make friends and your sim should meet a new child-aged sim that day!

Once you’ve met a couple kids, you just need to get your sim to 35% or more friendship with them, because that’s when they’re considered “friends”. You can do this by doing friendly interactions with the other sim which is super easy!

Stage Three: Playground Royalty

There are a few options for interactions with the bike! You can practicing ride the bike yourself or ask an adult to help you which is such a cute interaction. The older sim does super cute stuff and the kid gets progressively better.

All you need to do is bike ride for four total hours over however long it takes, you don’t need to ride for four straight hours!

In stage one of this aspiration your sim needed to get to level 3 of the motor skill, so you’re doing awesome already! You’ll just need to get to level 6 which isn’t too bad.

You’ll be able to get to level 6 by doing things like playing on the monkey bars, going swimming and playing keyboard commander.

In the last section you needed to reach level 3 of the social skill, and now you need to get to level 5. You can easily gain this skill just by having your sim chat with their family members and friends.

If you want to gain it in other ways you can do things like chatting in kids chatrooms on a computer, talking to a giant stuffed animal and researching idioms on a computer.
