How to Gain The Sims 4 Pipe Organ Skill
To gain the pipe organ skill you’ll first need to purchase the instrument.
You’ll find it in the buy menu called the Napri Parlour Organ for ยง1,220 and it’s description says “Grand sound from an organ that will fit in any modest hall. Enchant your guests with haunting sounds and old world flair.”
To learn the skill you’ll click on the pipe organ and choose practice and your sim will sit down and start playing.
At level two of the skill your sim can plunk for inspiration on the pipe organ. This has the ability to give your sim an inspired moodlet which can help them learn the skill faster.
As you continue to gain the skill you’ll be able to gain the skill through playing songs, writing songs and just practicing!
Ideal Mood for Learning Pipe Organ
With the emotion system you need to understand that each mood is tied to a skill and helps your sims gain them more quickly.
Pipe organ is a creative skill so the ideal mood for learning this skill is inspired. You can get inspired in many ways but the easiest is just to get your sims to take a thoughtful shower.
Best Traits for Pipe Organ
The traits you give your sims can have a big impact on their skill gains and their mood. There are a few traits that can help with gaining the pipe organ skill:
- Creative: Sims who have the creative trait are going to get random inspired moodlets more often!
- Cheerful: I love giving sims the cheerful trait because this trait gives happy moodlets that can stack with inspired
- Muser: If you choose a creative aspiration for your sims you’ll be given the muser trait and this increases your sim’s skill gains when they’re feeling inspired.
You also need to keep in mind what lot traits your household has. These have a pretty big impact on your sims too! These are great for pipe organ:
- Great Acoustics: The great acoustics lot trait will make your sims gain any instrument skill more quickly and can give inspired moodlets randomly.
- Sunny Aspect: If you have The Sims 4: City Living you can add the sunny aspect trait. This one can give your sims a trait for the evening that will either be happy, inspired or energized! You have a 33% chance of getting a nightly inspired moodlet.
How to Cheat The Pipe Organ Skill
I’m just a cheater, I’m sorry. Cheating my skills is a must-have because it’s awful starting with a new family and my sims have no skills or personality! Thankfully, there’s a pipe organ skill cheat!
The cheat you need to know is stats.set_skill_level Major_PipeOrgan 10 to max the skill. Want a different level of the skill? Change the 10 to a number from 1-9!
Levels of the Sims 4 Pipe Organ Skill
There are ten levels of the skill for your sims to gain. As they gain the pipe organ skill you’ll get new abilities and unlocks!

Mentoring Pipe Organ
At level five of the skill your sims are able to start mentoring this skill. They can do it with any sim they know and the mentee will gain the skill more quickly.
If you have Business & Hobbies you can even mentor for money and earn 430 simoleons per hour if you have level 10 of the skill.
Licensing Songs
When your sim reaches level 8 of the pipe organ skill they are going to unlock the ability to write songs. There are a bunch of song options available to your sim, choose any of them and let your sim work.
Once the song is done you can click on the mailbox to license this song. You’ll get a small amount of money immediately when you license. You can do one song per week in-game and your sim will receive a daily royalty payment each day at 10 AM.
Earning Tips With The Sims 4 Pipe Organ Skill
If you add a pipe organ to any public lot in the game you can sit at it and start playing songs. While your sim is doing that you’ll see random sims popping over and giving your sim tips, usually 20 simoleons. This is a simple way to earn a little money while playing the instrument.
