How to Train Out Sims 4 Pet Misbehaviours
Now that you know what types of misbehaviours there are that you can train, let’s dig into how you can change your pets’ behaviour. To train out these behaviours you need to actually catch your pet in the act.
For example, if a cat is jumping on counters you’ll need to see them do it, wait for them to sit on the counter and you can click on them and choose lecture about jumping on counters.

You’ll also see the option to scold misbehaviours but this can have an impact on your relationship with your pet.
Another way to train behaviours is to encourage good behaviour. For example, you can encourage peeing outside to train a pet not to pee in the house. Or encourage using scratching post to train a cat not to scratch your furniture.
Your Pet’s Traits and Their Impact On Training
There are certain traits that are going to have a huge impact on your ability to train your animal. Traits that impact dogs include:
- Troublemaker: Dogs with this trait are going to do more bad behaviours and it’s harder to get them to stop doing these behaviours.
- Smart: Dogs with this trait are going to be easier to train!
The traits that are going to impact cat training include:
- Mischievous: Cats with this trait are up to no good, they are going to misbehave so much!
