The Sims 4 Paper Craft Skill Guide
Crafting is one of my favourite hobbies so the sims 4 paper craft skill is one I’m so excited about.
This new skill from The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits allows your sims to create cute stuff like Funky Frogs and cute swans!
What is Paper Craft Good For?
There are a few uses for the paper craft skill starting with creating really adorable decor. My favourite thing is to add the little paper butterflies to the wall in a kid’s room, it’s adorable. You can also sell this stuff for money which is an easy way to earn some extra income.
How to Gain The Sims 4 Paper Craft Skill
To get started with paper craft your sim needs access to a DIY Delight Papercrafting Kit which you can either purchase or find in the world. Purchasing it from the build catalog will cost your sim 20 simoleons.

Your sim can also head to a local area where they can find some Paper Craft kits on a table that they can use without needing to purchase one. You can find one in the small garden looking park (not a lot, just random park) in Jellyfish Junction!

When you first start gaining the skill you can crate origami butterflies or paper airplanes as well as make paper mache funky frogs.

As you gain the skill you’ll unlock new things to create as well as new colours for things your sim could already make.

There are so many things you can create from cute owls to fun cards you can gift to a very scary Plumbird mask that your sim can wear. Plus, you could wear this while you do the peculiar plumbird quests!

Ideal Mood for Paper Craft
Each of the skills we have for The Sims 4 has an associated emotion for your sim to have to gain the skill faster. The ideal mood for gaining the paper craft skill is inspired. The easiest way to get a quick inspired moodlet is to take a thoughtful shower.
Best Traits for Gaining The Sims 4 Paper Craft Skill
If you want your sim to have a better time when gaining this skill, you may like to add some of the following traits:
- Creative: Since the ideal mood for this skill is inspired having a creative sim is great because they’ll get more inspired moodlets than other sims.
- Perfectionist: The perfectionist trait makes sims work slower but they work better. This means that their work will come out higher quality so you can sell it for more money!
- Creative Visionary: Your sim can purchase this for 2,000 satisfaction points from the reward store and it will help them craft high quality items to sell
- Marketable: Your sim can purchase this trait for 1,500 satisfaction points from the reward store and it will make their items sell for more money.
How to Cheat the Paper Craft Skill
Cheating skills is a must for many players (including me) so of course we need to know the cheat for paper craft. You can use stats.set_skill_Level major_papercraft 10 to max out the skill for your sim.
If you want a different level of the skill you can change the number 10 at the end to any number between 1 and 10.
Levels of the Paper Craft Skill
There are ten total levels of the paper craft skill to gain and as you gain them your sim will be able to unlock new styles. They will also create higher quality items!

At level 2 of the sims 4 paper craft skill your sim unlocks the ability to make a magic origami butterfly. However, you need to first have found the other 13 butterflies in the butterfly and moth collection.

The cool thing about this magic butterfly is that you can place it inside of a butterfly and moth habitat and it will turn from paper into a real butterfly to finish the collection!
Improving The Skill With DLC
My favourite thing is cross-pack compatibility so of course I went digging to see how the sims 4 paper craft skill could be used in other packs too.
Nifty Knitting
If you have The Sims 4: Nifty Knitting installed you’ll be able to sell your sim’s paper crafts on Plopsy. That is an Etsy-like platform for selling your items online.

Business & Hobbies
If you have The Sims 4: Businesses & Hobbies in your game your sims are able to run a business selling their paper crafts in person to customers that will come to their shop!
