This trait is incredible because it makes your sim gain all skills faster!
Best Traits for The Sims 4 Nerd Brain Aspiration
You can always try and make your aspiration experience easier by adding smart traits. The following traits can be useful for finishing this aspiration:
- Genius: Genius sims are more likely to get focused which is the ideal mood for the logic skill which you need to gain throughout this aspiration.
- Speed Reader: This is a reward store trait you can purchase with satisfaction points. This is a great option for the first stage of the aspiration because it makes sims read books faster.
You can also add lot traits to your sim’s household to maximize skill gains:
- Science Lair: The science lair trait is great because it will have your sim gaining both the rocket science and logic skills faster.
- Study Spot: This trait comes with Discover University and gives your sim skill gain boosts to all skills.
Stages of the Aspiration
There are four stages of the sims 4 nerd brain aspiration to work through. Your sim will get tasks like gaining the logic skill or launching a rocket and when they complete these tasks they’ll get some satisfaction points.
Stage One: Prudent Student
- Finish Reading 3 Books
A sim with a nerd brain is going to love books, of course. The first thing they need to do for this aspriation is finish reading 3 books. You’ll need to purchase a bookcase and once you do, click read and a menu will open.
This menu will show you all the books your sim currently owns in that bookcase and you can choose to read any of them to satisfy this need.
You’ll need to get a sim to start and finish a book in one sitting to satisfy this need. I’ve had a sim go back after reading some of the book before and it didn’t work!
- Achieve Level 3 Logic Skill
Your sim is going to need to gain the logic skill for this stage of the aspiration. This skill is gained in a bunch of ways including:
- Playing Chess
- Using Telecopes
- Using The Backyard Observatory
- Using The Microscope
- Taking a Logic Skill Class (Discover University)
You can also cheat the skill for this part by using stats.set_skill_level major_logic 3 and it’ll satisfy this need.
Stage Two: Erudite
- Repair or Upgrade an Object
The first part of this stage requires you to repair or upgrade an object. To repair an object you’ll need to wait for something in your sim’s home to break. Once this happens you can click on it and choose repair and your sim will do their best. Sims with a higher handiness skill will repair things faster!
Your other option is to upgrade an item instead. You can find upgrades on so many items including fridges, stoves, sinks, bath tubs, and electronics.
To upgrade items you’ll need to have some upgrade parts. These are available for purchase on the computer under order > purchase upgrade parts and then a menu will appear where you can choose which ones you want.
- Craft an Object on the Woodworking Table
Now you’ll need to purchase the Woodworking Table from the skills & activities section of the build catalog.
Once you have the woodworking table on your lot you can click on it and choose craft sculpture and the options you’ll have to start are a knife block or a horse sculpture.
Your sim will work on it for a while and then it will appear in your sim’s inventory and it will satisfy this need!
Your sim will need to get to level 6 of the logic skill to finish this stage. Gaining this skill is easy, you can do things like playing chess, stargazing with a telescope, using a backyard observatory and more!
Stage Three: Rocket Scientist
Handiness is one of the best skills to gain because your sims will be able to upgrade their house or make woodworking items that you can sell for money. Gaining this skill can be done by repairing broken objects, upgrading different objects around the house or making anything on the woodworking table.
- Own a Rocket Ship
Now is when you need to spend some money, you’ll need to purchase a rocket ship for 5,000 simoleons called the Steampunk Flyamajig and place it on your lot!
- Launch or Upgrade a Rocket 5 Times
Now that you own a rocket ship, you need to build it! This will cost your sim 1,000 simoleons and many hours of their life. You can have a second sim help them build it by getting that sim to click on it once your sim has started building so it’ll go quicker.
To satisfy this requirement for the aspiration you’ll need to click on a completed rocket ship and choose explore space to launch your ship. This will send your sim into the sky and you’ll get some action cards to choose and see what happens.
Your second option is to upgrade your sim’s rocket ship. There are so many upgrades you can do that you unlock as your rocket science skill increases. You’ll just click on the rocket ship, choose upgrade and choose one and pay the money to work on it.
Stage Four: Nerd Brain
To complete the sims 4 nerd brain aspiration your sim will need to reach level 10 of the logic skill. Like we’ve discussed, you can do this in a ton of ways. The easiest way is to just get your sim to read skill books or play chess!
- Fix or Upgrade 5 Objects
To finish this aspiration your sim needs to fix or upgrade five objects. This is a nice one because you’ll either save money on repair people or you’ll get upgraded items that will make your sims happy. You can find upgrades on so many items including:
- Stereos
- Televisions
- Gaming Consoles
- Computers
- Sinks
- Toilets
- Bath Tubs
- Showers
You can find objects in every pack to upgrade, even things you wouldn’t think! You can even add an upgrade to the bowling alley to make a moonlight bowling experience for your sims.
Handy Bonus Trait
When your sim finishes the sims 4 nerd brain aspiration they are going to get the handy reward trait. This trait’s description says “Hand sims can instantly fix and upgrade any object.”
This is so helpful when things break because your sim can fix them without effort and you can add upgrades to everything in your home without spending too much time.
Clicking instant upgrade is incredible because it will add all upgrades with one click!
