The Sims 4 Mind and Body Aspiration

If your child wants to understand and control their body you should put them through the sims 4 mind and body aspiration.

This aspiration has your sim becoming mentally and physically strong and learning about themselves.

Mind and body is one of four aspirations that come with The Sims 4: Growing Together and is such a fun one to play through.

Best Traits for This Aspiration

There are certain traits that are great for finishing this aspiration but your child can only have a single trait slot so you’ll need to pick it intelligently. Here’s some options:

  • Genius: Your sim needs to gain the mental skill in this aspiration and the best mood to do that is focused. Genius sims are going to get random focused moodlets that can help them gain the skill quicker.
  • Active: The other skill the sim needs to gain is the motor skill and active sims will be best at this!

If you have The Sims 4: City Living installed in your game you can also add the Child’s Play lot trait to your sim’s household. This will make your children gain skills more quickly!

Stages of The Sims 4 Mind and Body Aspiration

There are three stages of this aspiration for your child to work through. As you go through you’ll need to gain the mental and motor skills and keep your needs up! You’ll end up with a headstrong sim and it’s the best!

Stage One: Confident Kiddo

  • Become Confident

The first thing you need to do is get your sim confident and there are a number of ways to do this. However, the easiest two things you can do to make a child confident both happen in the bathroom.

The first thing you can do is click on a sink and have your sim brush their teeth, clean breath makes me feel confident too! Then, you can click on a mirror (right above the sink) and use the psych self up interaction which also means confidence!

The mental skill is all focused on your sim’s brain and there are many ways to gain it. The first thing you can do to gain this skill for your sim is to play chess on a chess board, either by themselves or with another.

You can also experiment on a children’s science table and stargaze in a telescope in your sim’s backyard!

As you gain the skill you’ll also unlock fun things on the computer! At level two your sim can play arithmetic attack on the computer and at level 6 of the skill they can research on Simpedia on the computer.

Stage Two: Super Bike Tyke

The motor skill is focused on the body and moving it as much as possible. There are many ways your sim can gain this skill including playing on the monkey bars and jungle gyms at parks or in your yard.

Your sim can also practice typing on a computer to gain this skill, which is easy. Plus, at level four of the skill your sim will unlock the keyboard commander game on the computer to gain the motor skill.

  • Learn to Ride a Bike

Riding a bike is a big part of childhood (except for me, in my 30s and still can’t ride one lol) for so many kids. The first thing you’ll need is a bike for kids which you can find in the build catalog by searching bike. You’ll see a few options but you want a bike with JR at the end of it because those are made for kids.

Then, when you have the bike you’ll need to start learning! You can either practice with the child on their own or get an adult to help them. I prefer the adult option because it teaches them slightly faster and just has cuter animations!

When your sim finally learns to ride a bike (it will take a while) they’ll get a notification telling you that they’ve learned and you’ll get a fun confident moodlet too.

Stage Three: Master of Control

  • Go 12 Hours without a Negative Need Moodlet

When a sim gets really low in a specific need you’ll see them get low need negative moodlets which are not super fun. These are things like uncomfortable moodlets for being hungry or sad moodlets from being lonely.

This part of the aspiration wants your child to understand their body enough to keep their needs high enough for 12 hours that they don’t experience any of these! You’ll just need to pay close attention to their needs panel and continue to keep them high so you can finish this aspiration off.

In the first part of this aspiration you had to get your sim to level 3 of the mental skill, so you were already half way there. You’ll just need to continue gaining this skill by practicing chess, playing arithmetic attack or stargazing.

In stage two of this aspiration your sim needed to get to level 3 of this skill, so you’ve got a good start. You’ll need to continue doing active things like swimming, playing on the monkey bars and playing keyboard commander.

Headstrong Reward Trait

When your child finishes off the sims 4 mind and body aspiration they’ll be rewarded with the headstrong trait. This trait’s description reads “These sims have learned to discipline their body and minds. Their focused and confident moodlets will last longer.”

Having those two types of moodlets last longer is so awesome especially when you hack skill gains with it. For example, longer focused moodlets are going to make it easier for your sim to gain the logic skill since its the best one for gaining that skill!
