How to Get Messages in a Bottle in The Sims 4
If you aren’t deep in the game you may not even know about the sims 4 messages in a bottle collection.
This collection is found only in the world from The Sims 4: My Wedding Stories!
How to Get Messages in a Bottle in The Sims 4
The messages in a bottle will wash up on the beach but only in the Porto Luminoso neighbourhood which is the bottom half of the world. You’ll be looking for small piles of sand that are right near the water.
You’ll click on these and choose dig in sand pile and your sim will dig it up and get a message in a bottle.
You can click on the bottle in your sim’s inventory and choose to read the message. They have some funny text that you can read in a notification and they are quite silly.
I was able to find five of these spots each day, so you can work through this collection rather quickly. Especially since you always get a message in a bottle, unlike regular dig spots where you can get lots of weird stuff.
Types of Messages in a Bottle
There are twenty total messages in a bottle and all of them have uncommon rarity. The description on all of these is “A glass bottle with a message rolled up and secured inside. How mysterious! How exciting! What could it say?”
A Bold Reminder
- “I’m not leaving due to sorrow. Rather, John’s sudden death has reminded me how precious life is. A life of adventure would be most fulfilling, and I intend to make the most of every day. Perhaps I will return to the arctic waters and see the lights in the sky once again.”
A Bright Hello
- “Hello! My name is Jace. Tomi told me that she threw a message in a bottle into the sea a few days ago, so I decided to try it too! I am 6 years old, and my favourite colour is blue. I like listening to cool kids music and talking with my friends, especially Tomi. In my free time, I’ve been trying to find buried treasure like a pirate. My favourite place to play is on the pirate playground. Do you have a favourite colour? I hope you have a nice day! – Jace”
A Cursed Message
- “Ye be readin’ the letter I wrote, arrrr ye? Well, now you’re cursed! Ha. Me and me trusty parrot will be free! – Captain Y. Eet.”

A Thousand Leaves

My sister says this wouldn’t work, but I bet her five simoleons it would!”

Unrequited Love

Reward for Completing the Collection
When your sim digs up the very last message you’ll get a notification that says “After collecting all of these messages in bottles you’ve acquired two things. 1. A collection of meaningful, touching stories. 2. A lot of sand under your fingernails. They sure are pretty though, aren’t they? What a collection!”
You’ll also receive a plaque called Purveyor of Lost Messages. This plaque’s description says “The ocean has many secrets, but none that it can keep from you. You’ve scoured its beaches and discovered all of its untold tales.”
