This aspiration has your sim making delicious drinks, joining the mixology branch of the culinary career and just hanging at events while making drinks!
Essence of Flavour Bonus Trait
When your sim starts their life with any of the food aspirations as their first, they’ll get the essence of flavour bonus trait. This trait makes it so your sim will make higher quality food and drink!
This is great for this aspiration because eventually your sim will need to create 5 excellent quality drinks and this can be a benefit and make that easier!
Best Traits for The Sims 4 Master Mixologist Aspiration
Choosing traits for a sim is important and you should know which ones can help with aspirations! Here’s some good traits for this aspiration:
- Creative: The best mood for practicing mixology is inspired and creative sims get inspired more often.
- Entrepreneurial: This is a reward trait you can get from the satisfaction points reward store. This helps your sims get promoted faster!
- Essence of Flavour: This is the bonus trait you get when a sim starts with a food aspiration. This makes your mixology drinks have higher quality.
You can also add this lot trait to gain the mixology skill faster:
- Homey: The homey lot trait is great because it gives you a bonus to your mixology skill gains, letting you gain it quicker.
Stages of the Aspiration
There are four stages of the sims 4 master mixologist aspiration for your sim to work through. In this aspiration your sim will do things like making drinks, joining the mixology branch of the culinary career and creating delicious drinks!
Stage One: Bar Tenderfoot
- Mix 10 Drinks
The first thing you need to do for this aspiration is to make 10 drinks. You can make any type of drink by clicking on make drink and a menu will appear and you can choose any of them and just do this 10 times.
Pro Tip: If you don’t want to waste money you can even just get your sim to make water over and over to satisfy this requirement.
- Own a Bar and 2 Barstools
This part of this aspiration requires your sim to just purchase furniture. You can find bars and barstools in the dining room menu!
Stage Two: Electric Mixer
Your sim just needs to keep gaining the mixology skill! Get them to practice making drinks on a bar for a few hours each day and you’ll get there in no time.
- Become an Adult
This is the easiest part of this aspiration! Either create a sim with this aspiration as a young adult or older, or have your sim age up from a teen to a young adult and it will satisfy this need.
- Join the Culinary Career
The culinary career isn’t just about food, it has a mixologist branch available at level 6. So, for this aspiration your sim needs to join the culinary career. You can click on your sim’s career panel and choose find a job and a menu will appear and you’ll pick the culinary career.
Stage Three: Beverage Boss
- Mix 3 Drinks at a Single Event
This part of the aspiration is super easy, you just need to throw any of the events you can find on a sim’s phone under plan a social event.
Once the event begins, send your sim over to the bar and choose make drink and pick a drink 3 times. Once they make these 3 drinks they’ll get it done.
- Join the Mixology Branch of the Culinary Career
At level 6 of the culinary career your sim will be able to choose between the chef and mixologist branches of the career. This sim needs to choose the mixologist branch at this decision to complete this aspiration!
To keep gaining the mixology skill you can get your sim to read the mixology skill books that are available for purchase on a bookcase.
Of course, you can also gain the skill by practicing making drinks or making drinks on any bar.
Stage Four: Master Mixologist
To get to level 10 of the mixology skill you can have your sim practice making drinks at a bar until you reach it, or you can read skill books for mixology.
Pro Tip: Add the homey lot trait to your sim’s house (base game, available for everyone) because it gives a bonus to gaining the mixology skill!
If you want to cheat this instead to finish the aspiration you can use stats.set_skill_level major_bartending 10 to max out the mixology skill.
Creating excellent drinks is easy, and for this you need to create five types meaning a different type of drink each time.
Some factors that contribute to your sim’s drink quality are:
- Your sim’s mood, inspired is best!
- Your sim’s needs, a hungry sim won’t make high quality drinks.
- Your sim’s traits (i.e., essence of flavour makes higher quality drinks)
- Lot traits
Potion Master Bonus Trait
When your sim finishes off the sims 4 master mixologist aspiration you’ll get the potion master reward trait. This trait’s description says “Potion Masters can mix potent drinks which can sway the drinker’s emotions.”
You’ll find new drinks added to the make drinks menu including potions for being inspired, focused, flirty, happy and energized. These each cost ยง1,000 to make and can also just be purchased at the reward store for 200 satisfaction points.
When a sim makes and drinks one of these potions, like the flirty potion for example, they’ll get a +100 moodlet that lasts 3 hours! You can even make other sims drink these so you can control their emotions too.
