Fishing can be a fun hobby for kids and with the Sims 4 Master Fishing formative moment they can become a fisher-kid!
Formative moments came with The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits and make a sim’s childhood feel so much more full.
The Sims 4 Master Fishing Formative Moment
- “I want to catch the rarest, most hardest to catch fish that ever existed!”
For this formative moment the child wants to catch five rare fish. This means you need to first get a higher level of the fishing skill. The better their fishing skill, the more likely they are to catch rare fish.
All fish in the game are given a rarity that include things like common, uncommon and rare. These rare fish are harder to find and have specific locations to find them!
If you get to level 9 of the skill you’ll be able to use the Angle for a Big Catch interaction which has a higher chance of getting your sim more rare fish.
Fisher-Kid Reward Trait
When your sim finishes this aspiration they’ll get the Fisher-Kid trait. This trait’s description says “As a child, this Sim wanted to catch Rare Fish, and they did! It wasn’t easy either. As an adult, they’ll advance more quickly in the fishing skill. They’ll also advance more quickly in the fishing part time career (island living).”
When your sim has this trait they’ll gain the fishing skill faster when they age up. Plus, if you have Island Living in your game they can be better at the fishing career!
