The Sims 4 Imagination Skill Guide (Toddlers)

The sims 4 imagination skill is a fun one in The Sims 4 that’s all about expanding your sim’s brain and playing imaginatively.

You’ll gain this skill through play and it’s one of the cutest, max this skill and your sims will get a jump start on their creativity skill as children!

How to Gain The Sims 4 Imagination Skill

There are a whole bunch of ways you can have toddlers gain the imagination skill in the game.

The first way is to play with dolls which is one of my favourites.

This is great because you can have multiple sims playing together and even sims of all ages so they can play with their parents or their siblings.

The next way you can gain this skill is through reading books. To start your toddlers can only be read to by sims who are older than them and you’ll choose read toddler book. Just make sure they have somewhere comfortable to sit together!

At level four of the skill your toddlers are going to start being able to read these books on their own. You can purchase toddler books on any bookcases and choose open and drag them onto the floor or into a toddler’s inventory to read them.

This skill can be gained through play with any of the toys that are available to toddlers. You can put these toys on the ground or go ahead and get a toy box and drag them into the box to keep it more organized.

At level three of imagination you can even have your toddlers name their toys!

Levels of the Imagination Skill

The imagination skill comes with five levels for your toddlers to work through. As you gain this skill they’ll unlock new abilities that are super fun to play with.

LevelLevel Unlock
Level 1Toddlers can play with dolls, use the Wabbit Tablet and play with toys.
Level 2Toddler can now look at pictures in toddler books and play with others at the dollhouse.
Level 3Toddlers can now name toys, dolls and stuffed animals.
Level 4Toddlers can now read toddler books.
Level 5Toddler has fully developed their imagination. They can now view art.

Age Age Up Skill Bonus

My favourite thing about working on toddler and child skills is that they can give you a jump start on skills when your sim ages up.

If you get a toddlers skill to level 3 they will start with an almost full level 1 bar, which is pretty much just two levels.

If you max out a skill your sim will get level 2 of the skill but it’s filled to 94% so you’re practically at level 3.

The imagination skill is tied directly to the creativity skill. So, if your toddler maxes imagination they’ll start with a few levels of creativity when they age.

How to Cheat The Sims 4 Imagination Skill

If you want your sims to have a huge imagination without the effort, you may want to just go ahead and cheat this skill instead. You’ll need to know stats.set_skill_level Skill_Toddler_Imagination 5 to max out this skill.

If you want a different level of the skill you’ll change the number 5 at the end to whatever level you’d like to have.
