The first thing you need to do for this formative moment is become best friends with your imaginary friend. Your sim will need to reach 80% friendship with their imaginary friend to have this option show up.
If you don’t see become best friends forever appear in the initial menu, you can go to more choices > change relationship and it will be there! Click that button and your sim and their imaginary friend will become best friends.

For this part of the formative moment your sim wants to do a bunch of stuff with their imaginary friend! You’ll want to summon them so they can hangout and click on them and pick some fun tasks.
The type of tasks you’ll see when you click on the imaginary friend will depend on their personality. For example, a competitive one will have things like challenging them to games! You’ll just need to do a bunch of interactions and fun games with your imaginary friend to finish this.

When you finish this formative moment the trait your sim gets changes depending on the personality of the imaginary friend. For example, a competitive imaginary friend will give the trait had a competitive best imaginary friend.
This trait will impact your sim’s moodlets when they’re older, but the type of moodlet depends on what personality your imaginary friend had.
