Best Traits for Sims 4 Goal Oriented Aspiration

Adding smart traits is the best way to start with a sim because it’ll help you get through aspirations faster. There aren’t many options for this aspiration but these two could help:

  • Overachiever: A sim with this trait is going to gain skills faster which is awesome for getting promotions at work and love finishing work tasks and can get positive moodlets from it.
  • Entrepreneurial: This is a reward store trait you can purchase for 2,000 satisfaction points. It will make it so your sims get promoted faster!

You can also add lot traits to your sim’s house to help, here are some that could be useful:

  • Good Schools: This lot trait comes from City Living and gives a boost to your sim’s school performance so they can get an A easier for this aspiration.
  • Study Spot: This lot trait comes from Discover University and gives a skill boost to all skills!
  • Peace and Quiet: This lot trait comes from Jungle Adventure and makes sims gain skills faster from skill books so you can gain the entrepreneur skill or charisma or video gaming depending on your sim’s side hustle of choice.

Stages of the Aspiration

There are three stages of the goal oriented aspiration to play through with your sim. This sim will be focused on getting good grades and succeeding in both after school activities and a side hustle! They will have no free time for sure but they’ll end up with that highflier trait at the end.

Stage One: Setting Your Sights

  • Join an After-School Activity

If you want to be an over achiever you’ll need to have lots of stuff on your resume to get into college. Joining an after school activity is easy! You just go to your sim’s phone and under the career menu (yellow) you’ll see join an after-school activity.

When you click this a menu will appear and you’ll choose between a few options. You can join the cheer team, chess team, computer team or football team. Choosing any of these options will satisfy this requirement!

  • Do Homework 5 Times

Once your sim ages up from a child to a teen or is created in CAS you’ll see a blue book appear in their inventory. This is their homework book and they’ll need to do homework each day before going to school.

You’ll just click on the book in your sim’s inventory and choose do homework and work on it until it’s finished. You’ll need to do this five times, so this will take five days to complete.

  • Earn 500 Simoleons

Sims who are goal oriented are always finding ways to earn an income, and thankfully this applies to a lot of things. For this you can have your sim join a side hustle (we’ll get to that later) or they can do something like create paintings or sculptures and sell them.

You can even have them write books and earn royalties by publishing them and that money will come in each day so you can complete this without so much effort. Pretty much anything you can do for this sim to earn an income applies and 500 isn’t too much money so you can do it easily in a few days.

Stage Two: Major Flex

  • Reach Level 3 of an After School Activity

After school activities work a lot like careers or school in the game and you can get promoted in them too. You’ll see that your sim has advancement tasks that they need to complete which means they have skills to gain from programming to fitness depending on the club they joined.

You’ll need your sim to attend all of their team meetings, get their daily task completed in their free time before attending again and make sure they reach their required skills before they can get their advancement to the next level!

  • Earn and Keep an A

Getting an A in school is actually so easy but for this aspiration you’ll need to keep it. This means that you need to have it for three consecutive days of school without losing it.

To get an A all you need to do is attend all your classes either by playing actively in high school or sending them alone, doing their homework each day and going to school in a good mood. Plus, you’ll need to gain skills to get a school grade promotion. It’s seriously easy, especially once you get to B and can do extra credit.

If you have The Sims 4: Parenthood in your game you can even do school projects to get a boost!

  • Attend Career Day

Career day is a school event that happens once per season! You can see when the career day event is happening on your sim’s household calendar at any time.

Career day starts at noon and runs until 3 o’clock and you’ll get a notification asking if you should travel to the auditorium for career day once it starts. You’ll click okay and just entering the career day building will satisfy this requirement for the sim to finish this stage of the aspiration!

At career day your sim can chat with the sims who show up (all icons like Eliza Pancakes) who are giving presentations about careers and learn more about what they could do with their life.

Stage Three: Goal Oriented

  • Reach Level 3 of a Side Hustle

There are two “side hustles” added to the game with this pack either a Simfluencer or a Video Game Streamer. To join these you’ll go to your sim’s phone or their career panel and choose to find a job and pick one.

Your sim will have a few hours a day where they need to work on these careers plus there will be daily tasks and skills your sim needs to gain. For the simfluencer career your sim will need to gain the entrepreneur skill and the charisma skill.

For the video game streamer career it’ll be the entrepreneur skill and the video gaming skill. To get to level 3 you’ll need to do the daily tasks, and make sure to reach the skill levels. To get to level 3 you’ll need level four of each skill which isn’t too bad!

Getting those promotions is easy, just be in a good mood when you go to work, or do all the tasks you get when working from home. Gain the correct skills and always do your daily task!

Highflier Reward Trait

When your sim finishes off the sims 4 goal oriented aspiration they are going to be given the highflier reward trait.

This trait’s description reads “Highflier sims have the potential to be more successful, especially in business.” If you want your sims to be great in the business career or run their own business and be successful as adults, this is such a great reward trait to strive for as a teenager!
