How to Get Each of The Sims 4 Gardening Collectible Items
If you want to finish the base game gardening collection you’ll need to find each of the sims 4 gardening collectible items.
These items can be obtained in many ways from seed packets to harvesting them in the wild to grafting them yourself.
Note: This will only include the base game items since they are the only ones you need to have to actually finish the collection and get the reward.
How to Get Each of The Sims 4 Gardening Collectibles
There are a few different ways of getting plants in the game. You can find them in the wild, you can create them through grafting or you can get them through seed packets.
Common Plants
Apple
- Apples can be found in started fruit seed packets.
- You can find apples in the Ridgeline View neighbourhood of Newcrest or these neighbourhoods in Willow Creek:
- Crawdad Quarter
- Foundry Cove
- Magnolia Blossom Park
- Pendula View
- Sage Estates
Basil
- Basil can be found in starter herb seed packets.
- Basil can be found in the secret world of Sylvan Glade or in the following Willow Creek neighbourhoods:

Bluebell
- Bluebell can be found in starter flower seed packets.
- You can find this flower in Newcrest in these neighbourhoods:

Carrot
- Carrots can be found in starter vegetable seed packets.

Mushroom

Parsley
- Parsley can be found in the starter herbs seed packets and the farmer veggies and herbs packs.
- You can create parsley by grafting together sage and basil.
- If you have The Sims 4: Get Together you can find parsley in the wild at Von Haunt Estates and Hare Square Park in Windenburg.
Plantain
- Plantains can be found in the starter fruits seed packets.
- You can create a plantain by grafting together a pear and a lemon.
Sage

Potato
- Potatoes can be found in the starter vegetables seed packets.
- You can find a potato in the base game in the secret world of Forgotten Grotto!
Rose
- Roses can be found in the uncommon plants seed packets.
- You can find a rose in the Bridgeview neighbourhood of Newcrest as well as these Willow Creek neighbourhoods:

Strawberry
- Strawberries can be found in the starter fruits seed packets.
- You can find strawberries in every neighbourhood in Willow Creek and Newcrest as well as the following Oasis Springs neighbourhoods:

Tomato
- Tomatoes can be found in the starter fruits and farmer veggies and herbs packs.
- You can find a tomato plant in the Bedrock Strait neighbourhood of Oasis Springs
Tulip
- You can find wild tulips in Oasis Springs in both the Acquisition Butte and Skyward Palms neighbourhoods.
- Tulips can be found in the seasonal spring plants seed packets from The Sims 4: Seasons.
Trash Fruit
- Trash Fruit can be found in the uncommon plants seed packets.
- You can create trash fruit plants to harvest by leaving garbage on the ground outdoors for a few days.
Wolfsbane
- This plant originally came with Vampires but was added to the base game for some reason. However, you cannot get it in base game without cheating with the debug cheat.
- You can get this in both Forgotten Hollow and Moonwood Mill if you have Werewolves or Vampires.
- At level 8 of the vampire lore skill your sim can purchase these on the computer.
Rare Plants
Bird of Paradise
- This plant can be found in rare seed packets.
- You can create a bird of paradise plant by grafting together a tulip and chrysanthemum.
Bonsai Buds
- These can be found in uncommon plant seed packets.
- You can create Bonsai Buds by grafting together a daisy and strawberry or by grafting together a grape and a rose.
Cowplant Berry
- This plant can be found in rare seed packets, through exploring space on a rocket or when fishing in various fishing locations.
- You can create a cowplant berry by grafting together a snapdragon and a dragonfruit.
- When planted, you can grow a cowplant!
Dragon Fruit
- This plant can be found in rare seed packets.
- You can create a dragonfruit by grafting together a snapdragon and a strawberry.
Orchid
- This plant can be found in rare seed packets.
- You are able to create an orchid by grafting together a snapdragon and a lily.
Pomegranate
- This plant can be found in rare seed packets.
- You can create a pomegranate by grafting together a cherry and an apple
U.F.O. (Unidentified Fruit Object)
- This plant is found by having your sim explore space in a rocket.
Death Flower
- This plant can be found in rare seed packets.
- You can create a death flower by grafting together a pomegranate an orchid.
Growfruit
- This plant can be found in rare seed packets.
Forbidden Fruit of the PlantSim
- This is found by collecting all the magic beans for the collection and placing them in a stump. You’ll go into the tree and explore and come back with this item.
Reward for Completing the Collection
When you finish collecting all of the items for the gardening collection you’ll get a notification that says “No fruit unclaimed. No flower unfound. Congratulations! The Sim Gardening Society is in awe of your collection.”
In the coming days you’ll get a plaque in the mail called Go, Green Thumbs! The description on this plaque says “At the behest of the local community, the Sim Gardening Society has decided to reward you for your impressive collection of flora both grown and pinched. No longer will you have to sneak surreptitiously behind your neighbour’s yard in search for that one last plant – you now have them all!”
