The Sims 4 Galactic Privateer Aspiration
If you want to feel like Han Solo you’ll want to play through the Sims 4 galactic privateer aspiration.
This aspiration is one of two you can choose immediately with The Sims 4: Journey to Batuu but this one is super fun.
Your sim will get to lie, cheat and steal their way to a high scoundrel reputation.
Prepared Voyager Bonus Trait
The aspiration you give your sim first matters because it gives them a bonus trait they get to keep. If you start them with a Star Wars aspiration like this one of the Hope Vs Order Aspiration you’ll get the prepared voyager trait.

This trait’s description says “Sims who are prepared voyagers fill up their needs slightly when travelling.” This is helpful for this aspiration since you don’t have access to a house to increase your needs so moving through neighbourhoods will help you gain needs.
Stages of the Aspiration
There are four stages of the sims 4 galactic privateer aspiration for your sim to play through. They’ll need to increase their scoundrel reputation by doing missions and get as many galactic credits as possible through scheming.
Stage One: Fledgling Pirate

- Order a Drink at Oga’s Cantina
The very first thing you need to do is order a drink at Oga’s Cantina which is an important location for this aspiration. You’ll find this building in the middle of the Black Spire Outpost neighbourhood, the large round yellow building. You can click on it and choose to enter but you can also just zoom in and the walls will fall away.

Once inside you can click on the bar or the bartender and choose order drink and choose which kind of drink to order once the menu appears. If you have no money, you can just order water.

- Play 5 Rounds of Sabacc
Inside of Oga’s Cantina you’ll see two rounded tables with four chairs around them. These are Sabacc tables, a game that you can play with others for money.

Your sim will need to play this game five times with other sims, and hopefully will win a game or two! You’ll click this table and choose play sabacc with and a menu will appear and you can choose which sims who are around that you want to play with.
Your sim will need the programming skill to be able to skim credits from control panels and other tasks, so you’ll need this skill. Gaining the programming skill is easy!
Your first option is to practice programming on a computer which is a great way to do it.

You can also have your sim read skill books that you can purchase on a book case. If you have The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure installed you can add the peace and quiet lot trait to your house and that trait helps you gain skills faster when reading books.

Stage Two: Scum and Villainy

- Swindle 2 Sims
Before you unlock the ability to swindle you’ll need to reach Rank 1 of Scoundrel reputation which you can do by doing missions and earning reputation XP. You’ll then be able to click on random sims and choose swindle for credits.

Now, this may not work for you! A sim who is good at swindling will be very charismatic, meaning you’ll have better luck if you have a high level of the charisma skill.
- Complete 5 Missions for the Scoundrel Faction
Missions are how you gain scoundrel experience to increase your reputation. To get scoundrel missions you’ll need to find Hondo Ohnaka who is always at Oga’s Cantina. You’ll click on that sim and choose ask to see missions.

When you click this a menu will appear and you’ll see available missions. To start, you’ll see the Hello, Hondo mission and that may be your only option.

This mission requires you to beat Hondo at a game of Sabacc, which can be hard but you can do it!

You’ll need to complete five of these missions by just doing the tasks and reporting back to Hondo and starting new missions.
- Open Supply Crate
There are small crates on the ground in all three neighbourhoods in Batuu and these are supply crates. Your sim can try and override the locks so they can get whatever goodies are inside.

To do this you’ll want to click on it and choose attempt to override locks and when completed you can click again and choose open supply crate. Overriding locks is a programming task so a sim with a higher level of the programming skill will be able to do this more quickly.
Stage Three: Lovable Rogue

- Successfully Bribe a First Order Stormtrooper
When your sim reaches the 2nd rank, Runner, of their Scoundrel reputation they’ll unlock the ability to bribe others. You’ll need to find a stormtrooper which are the ones in white robot looking outfits walking around holding guns.

You’ll click one of these and choose Bribe for 150 galactic credits and it will cost you money. A sim with a higher level of the charisma skill will have a better chance at this succeeding. Your sim will hand them something gold, so I assume galactic credits are gold!

- Skim Credits from 3 Control Panels
Control panels are these tall items around each neighbourhood that you can use to enter doors and steal money by skimming credits. Before you can skim credits you’ll need to slice the control panel. You can just try an option without knowledge or analyze the panel until you know exactly what to do.

It’s better to spend time and analyze the panel because trying the other options may not work and it will cost you a dataspike which costs money to purchase. When you analyze enough you’ll be able to see a green thumbs up next to the correct option.

Once you finish this task your sim will be able to click on the panel again and choose skim credits and you’ll see your sim get 10 galactic credits at a time over and over. It’s like printing money!

The only thing is that you may have some issues if you’re caught. You have a couple options when this happens, you can either convince to release or bribe to release. Sims with a higher level of the charisma skill will have a better time getting away with stuff like this!

- Successful Cheat and Win at Sabacc
We’ve already had to play Sabacc at Oga’s Cantina in the past, but now you have to cheat and win! You’ll start a game and once the game is underway you’ll click on the table and choose cheat at Sabacc.

You may get caught, which isn’t ideal. You’ll have a better chance at finishing this if your sim has a high level of the charisma skill!
Stage Four: Galactic Privateer

- Have More Than 5,000 Galactic Credits
Getting 5,000 galactic credits seems like a lot, but honestly it’s not too bad. There are a few ways you can earn these credits. The first way is to swindle sims for credits which gets you 100 credits per swindle. Sims with a higher charisma skill level will have an easier time doing this.

Another way you can get easy money is to skim credits from a control panel. You’ll need a high level of the programming skill so you can analyze these panels quickly to get the job done without getting caught.

You can also head over to Oga’s Cantina and play games of Sabacc with others and try and earn money this way, but you can end up losing money when playing so it’s not the best idea.

Finally, you can complete missions to earn these credits. The best part about this is that doing missions also increases your reputation rank which you need in this section anyway.
- Explore 5 Times in the Millennium Falcon
To be allowed to explore in the Millennium Falcon you first need to reach rank 5 of scoundrel reputation. You’ll do that by completing missions to gain reputation XP. Once you reach that the option will open up to you.
You’ll find the millennium falcon in the Black Spire Outpost neighbourhood and you can click on that and choose explore. It work just like exploring space with a rocket ship and the rocket science skill.

Your sim will get action cards to respond to and events will happen that will give you items or cause you to need to repair the ship.

- Reach Scoundrel Reputation Rank 5
To increase your reputation rank your sim needs to do missions for that specific faction. You’ll want to do missions that you get from Hondo Ohnaka who is always hanging out in Oga’s Cantina.

When you ask to see missions with this sim you’ll see a bunch of different missions appearing. In the information for each mission you’ll see Scoundrel with plus signs next to it. The missions that have multiple plus signs are going to give your sims more reputation XP so you can reach the rank faster.
Sleight of Hand Reward Trait
When your sim manages to finish the sims 4 galactic privateer aspiration they’ll be given the sleight of hand reward trait. This trait’s description reads “Sims with a sleight of hand can pickpocket other sims and will never get caught cheating at Sabacc.”
