Home Turf Bonus Trait
When you start your sim with one of the many location aspirations like this one (or the others like the city native aspiration) you’ll be given the home turf bonus trait.
This traits description says “These sims become happy when they are in their home neighbourhood.” With this aspiration it isn’t super helpful but it can give a happy moodlet when working on it if you live in this world.
Best Traits for Sims 4 Fount of Tomarani Knowledge Aspiration
This aspiration is a unique one because most have a bunch of traits and lot traits that can help. However, this one is super random and doesn’t have any skills for your sims to gain. The only trait I can think that may be helpful is the loves outdoors trait because your sim will spend a lot of time outside!
Stages of the Aspiration
There are three levels of the sims 4 fount of Tomarani knowledge aspiration to play through. Each has simple tasks to complete so it’s an easy one to finish. When you finish each task you’ll get satisfaction points to spend!
Stage One: Regional Rookie
- Leave Fruit or Incense at a Spirit House
Your first task is to leave fruit or incense at a spirit house. You can either purchase one of them for your own lot from the buy catalog or find one in the world. Buying one will cost your sim 250 simoleons!
You can also choose to find one instead, you can find one outside the Taka Soi 15 Residential Rental lot in the top neighbourhood in the world. It’s located to the left of the front door of the bottom apartment.
Once you find it you can click on it and choose either leave fruit or leave incense. When you do this your sim will get a positive moodlet too!
- Use Tomarani Introduction
Your next task is to use the Tomarani Introduction. This will appear any time you click on a sim you haven’t met yet and you’ll see it along with the regular friendly, funny and rude introductions.
Introduce yourself with this introduction one time and you’ll be good to go!
- Meet a Sim with the Child of the Village Personality Trait
Finding a sim with a specific trait can be annoying, but I found the sim you need to find! There are probably other sims with this same trait, but this one is easy to find. So, you’re looking for Vanesha Cahyaputri. This sim is a young adult who is a property owner at the Taka Soi 15 lot.
You can find this sim by heading to that lot in the top neighbourhood and going to the upstairs lot to visit their home. If you rent the bottom apartment they’ll be easy to find because they’ll be your landlord!
- Use a Squat Toilet
Next up for this aspiration is to use a squat toilet! You can find one these in the buy catalog with the less expensive option costing 250 simoleons. You can place these in your home or find one in a public lot bathroom.
You just click on it and choose use and your sim will go to the toilet and squat with their feet on either side and use the bathroom like normal, satisfying their bladder need!
Stage Two: Culinary Connoisseur
- Cook Tomarani Cuisine
For this part of the aspiration you’ll be exploring food from the town. You’ll need to cook three recipes that include things like:
- Halo-Halo
- Nasi Lemak
- Burmese Samosa Soup
- Steamed Rice
- Tofu Pad Thai
- Banh Xeo
- Banh Cuon
- Malaysian Satay
- Bibingka
- Khao Naio Mamuang
Your sim just needs to cook items from this list 3 times to satisfy this requirement.
- Buy a Shirt from the Night Market
Your sim is able to visit the Night Market each night in the Morensong neighbourhood of Tomarang. It is open from 6PM to 2AM and you’ll be able to find it easily because it’s surrounded by fun brightly coloured lights.
You’ll want to navigate around the market until you find this stall, located on a corner. It’s the only one that I found that sells things other than food.
You’ll click buy local attire and pick a shirt from the menu that appears!
- Buy Food at the Night Market
At the same night market your sim needs to purchase any piece of food. You can click on any of the food stalls that have workers and choose order food and pick a random meal from the list to satisfy this requirement.
- Prepare a Recipe Using a Pressure Cooker
With The Sims 4: For Rent we got the addition of a pressure cooker! Your sim needs to purchase one of these from the build catalog for 250 simoleons.
Once you have a pressure cooker you can click on it and choose cook and then pick a meal to cook. Once the meal is done you’ll need to release the steam and then grab all the servings to eat it!
Stage Three: Explorer Extraordinaire
- Collect Unique Tassels
There are so many collections to find in The Sims 4 and with For Rent we got the addition of tassels. These are decorative tassels that you can display! There are a few ways your sims can get these.
The first way is to find the same market tent at the night market where you purchased the shirt int he second stage. Then you click on it and choose purchase goods instead of buy local attire. You’ll scroll through their items and find any tassels they have. I was able to purchase 2 of the 3 I needed, you’re looking for different coloured tassels!
Another way you can get tassels is by exploring Tomarang’s Cave or sneaking into the tiger sanctuary at night. You’ll enter these locations and get action cards to answer and you may get a tassel this way too!
- Explore Tomarang’s Cave
The cave your looking for is known as the Beard Beard Cave that is located on the far right side of the Koh Sahpa neighbourhood. You’ll see a nice little beach in front of the cave and you can get your sim to travel that way, then click on the cave and choose explore.
When your sim is inside the cave you will get action cards to answer that will give different results where you can get information about the world or fun tassels to decorate with!
- Explore the Sulea Tiger Sanctuary
The other location you need to explore is the Sulea Tiger Sanctuary. You’ll find this location on the right side of the Koh Sahpa neighbourhood and it looks like a small temple.
You have two options for this the first being to visit during daylight and the second is to sneak in at night!
If you choose to sneak in at night you may get caught which can make your sim get banned from coming back, which isn’t super fun!
- View the Statue of Khun Mae and the Tiger
The final task you need to do is to view the statue of Khun Mae and the Tiger. You can find this statue in the Koh Sahpa neighbourhood at the bottom. You can see it on the map as a tiny statue!
Once you find it you’ll see a tiger standing in a fun position and you just need to click on it and choose view.
Tomarang Expert Reward Trait
When your sim manages to finish the sims 4 fount of tomarani knowledge aspiration they’ll be given the tomarang expert reward trait.
This trait’s description says “Sims with this trait are better at cooking Tomarani Cuisine, finding tassels, getting along with sims with the child of the village trait, and will be more successful when exploring the Sulea Tiger Sanctuary and the cave at Beard Beard Cove.”
