How to Catch Each Fish in The Sims 4
Fishing is a great way to earn money or have a fun hobby an there are so many sims 4 fish to catch!
Being able to catch each fish is a really impressive feat and you’l even get a reward.
How to Catch Fish
Catching fish is easy, you just fish need to find fishing spots in the world your sim is in, and go get those little guys.
Fishing Spots
In each world you’ll find small wooden signs near water with a little fish on them. These are fishing spots are where you’ll click to have your sim go fishing and they’ll fish until you tell them to stop, catching multiple fish.

While your sim is fishing they’ll gain the fishing skill and as the skill goes up they’ll be able to catch better fish and unlock things like the ability to use bait.
Bowfishing
If you have The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits in your game sims with level four of the archery skill your sim is able to click on those same fishing spots and choose to go bowfishing. The sim will shoot a bow and arrow into the water and will catch any fish available in that location which is so fun!

Fishing on Boats
If you have The Sims 4: Island Living installed in your game you have the option to go fishing off the back of boats in Sulani. This helps you to catch some of the more rare fish in Sulani that are super cool!

Fishing With Bait
When you reach level three of the fishing skill your sim will be able to start fishing with bait. This means that you can use other items to catch bigger and better fish. You can use the following items as bait:
- Other Fish
- Frogs
- Plants
To use bait you’ll need to have the items in your sim’s inventory and then you’ll click on the fishing spot and choose fish with bait.

Then, a menu will open where you can choose which bait to use and your sim will fish using that bait until they run out. Once they run out, they’ll continue fishing just without bait so you’ll still catch fish without needing to get them to start fishing again.
There are even some fish that require you to use a specific bait to be able to catch it including the anglerfish, a piranha and a cat fish.
