How to Get Feathers in The Sims 4
If you’re ever looking for things you may have never done you can collect all of the sims 4 feathers.
These feathers are obtained through your pets with The Sims 4: Cats & Dogs!
How to Get Feathers in The Sims 4
Feathers are brought back to your sim by their pets and have so many cute ways to find them!
Command Your Cat to Chase Birds
When you’re in the world of Brindleton Bay your sim may see flocks of birds hanging around in the neighbourhoods. You are able to click on these and choose to command your pet to chase them.

When a pet chases these birds they can find some feathers from this and after chasing them away there will be a pile of feathers on the ground that you can open to get feathers!

Give Your Cat the Prowler Trait or Dog the Hunter Trait
When you create your pets in CAS you can give them three traits to make them more interesting. For cats, you’ll want to give them the prowler trait. The description for this trait says “These cats enjoy prowling around the neighbourhood. Send them out and they might come back with something they’ve found.”

For dogs, you’ll choose the hunter trait. The description on this one says “These dogs are natural hunters. Send them off into the world and they’ll hunt and dig for things.”

Both of these traits work the same! You’ll click on the pet and choose either send prowling or send hunting and your pet will leave the house.

If successful, the pet will return with a small box with a bow on it. This box will be delivered right to the sim and you can click on it to open it. You can get tons of different items from these boxes and feathers. areone of the options.

Have Pet Explore a Woohoo Bush
There is a specific bush type that comes with a few packs (get together, horse ranch and werewolves) that allows your sims to use it for woohoo and using the bathroom. This bush is a great way to have your pets find feathers!

When your sim reaches level three of the pet training skill they will unlock the ability to send pet to explore this bush. When you do this your pet will jump into the bush and you’ll get a notification telling you what happened.

If successful the pet will leave a pile of feathers on the ground outside of the bush and you can click on it and choose open. You’ll get a notification telling you what type of feathers you’ve gotten and you can get multiples from this!

When you open this pile of feathers you’l get a notification telling you which types of feathers you’ve gotten.

Types of Sims 4 Feathers
Common Feathers

Crow Feather
- “This ebony plume belongs to a crafty crow. Many chase these fine avians from their homes mistaking them for thieves. They are mistaken, crows only take what they need, and never more.”
- This feather will sell for §35

Duck Feather
- “The divine duck is hard to compare to other avians. No other bird combines an incredibly low intelligence with such fine plumage. It is a good thing they breed like pigeons.”
- This feather will sell for §35

Finch Feather
- “Finches are very attractive birds with their variety of colours and patterns. Many covet these as pets despite the finch’s utter distaste of humanity. They are also nervous wrecks.”
- This feather will sell for §40

Pigeon Feather
- “Pigeons can be found all over the world. Often called the rats of the bird kingdom, the pigeon has been unfairly maligned. It is quite majestic compared to many nonflying creatures.”
- This feather will sell for §25

Seagull Feather
- “This somewhat elegant bird roams coastal lands but is sometimes found inland. Its activities include fighting over trash, stealing food, and making dockworkers angry.”
- This feather will sell for §30
Uncommon Feathers

Blue Jay Feather
- “The Blue Jay is most known for its magnificent cerulean plumage. Less known is its intelligence and propensity to be a family bird. Yet, their baseball skill remains questionable, worse than cardinals even.”
- This feather will sell for §80

Cardinal Feather
- “The colourful cardinal loves its seeds and showing off its impressive coat. While they make excellent neighbours, they are not well-known for their baseball skills.”
- This feather will sell for §60

Heron Feather

- This feather will sell for §70

Pheasant Feather

- This feather will sell for §90
Rare Feathers

Parrot Feather
- “Parrots have a variety of beautiful feathers. Rare in these lands, these feathers are often prized more than the birds themselves. They tend not to bite and talk back.”
- This feather will sell for §120

Puffin Feather
- “Usually a frozen weather creature, it is rare to see a puffin feather around these parts. Lost on its way to a breeding colony perhaps? Or fleeing Iceland?”
- This feather will sell for §110

Spotted Sixam Feather
- “A rare find indeed, experts thought this owl long gone from the world. Its otherworldly plumage had scientists convinced it was a stowaway from forays to a nearby planet. This will make an impressive showpiece in any feather collection.”
- This feather will sell for §200
Reward for Completing the Collection
When you finish the collection you’ll get a notification that says “Congratulations! You’ve collected all twelve feathers.”
