When your sim starts their life with any of the food aspirations they’ll be given the essence of flavour bonus trait. This trait makes it so any food or drink your sim makes comes out higher quality.
This trait is so important for this aspiration because your sim will need to make 50 excellent bottles of nectar and essence of flavour helps with that!
Best Traits for The Sims 4 Expert Nectar Maker Aspiration
There are traits that can be super helpful to give your sims to finish this aspiration faster:
- Active: The ideal mood for crafting nectar is energized and active sims get random energized moodlets.
- Cheerful: Cheerful is great because it just makes your sims happier so they’ll need less and you can make more nectar.
- Marketable: This is a purchasable trait from the satisfaction points reward store for 1,500 points. It makes any item your sim crafts to sell be sold for higher profits.
- Essence of Flavour: This trait is given to sims who start with a food aspiration and makes any drinks they create higher quality.
You can also add lot traits to your sim’s household for more benefits:
- Sunny Aspect: This comes with The Sims 4: City Living and gets your sims a random moodlet each day at 6PM. This moodlet will either be happy, inspired or ENERGIZED which is the ideal mood for creating nectar to gain the skill quicker.
Stage of the Aspiration
There is actually only one stage of this aspiration to work through with 3 tasks!
The first thing you need to do to finish this aspiration is max out the nectar making skill. This is done through making nectar by purchasing the Rootin’ Fruit’n Nectar Maker for §350.
Once you have this machine you’ll need some ingredients which you can get by growing them yourself or clicking on the machine and choosing purchase basic ingredients to get them.
Then you can choose craft nectar and your sim will get inside the machine and start stomping!
When it’s done you just click on the machine again and collect the nectar!
If you don’t want to gain the skill naturally you can cheat it instead. Just use stats.set_skill_level adultminor_ranchnectar 5 to max it out.
- Make 50 Excellent Bottles of Nectar
There are so many factors that go into the quality of your sims nectar including:
- Your sim’s mood at the time of making it
- Your sim’s needs levels when making it
- Your sim’s level of the nectar making skill
- The cleanliness of your nectar maker
- The quality of your sim’s produce inputs
- The age of the nectar
The best thing you can do to increase the quality of your sim’s nectar is purchase the Rancher’s Stackable Nectar Storage Rack and place it in a basement.
When you leave nectar inside of this rack it will start to age which increases its quality and can get it to excellent. You can place it anywhere in your home but putting it in the basement will make it age even faster.
- Make §100,000 Selling Nectar
There are many ways you can sell nectar in the game but the best way to make more money quicker with nectar is to always sell to the Mysterious Rancher. This is an NPC who comes to Chesnut Ridge at random times and will purchase your nectar for like 40-50% more than just selling it in your sim’s inventory.
You’ll know he’s in town when you see a notification saying “If you’re looking to sell your homemade nectar, I’d be happy to purchase it for above face value due to current high demand.”
You can click on the image of the rancher’s face in this notification and it will bring you right to them.
Once you find the rancher you can introduce yourself and then you’ll see sell nectar as an option. It will open a menu and you can sell any nectar that’s in your inventory for more money than before!
You’ll need to sell a lot of nectar to get to that 100,000 number. To sell it for more money you should always use high quality ingredients by growing your own produce and evolving your fruits and vegetables so you get higher quality inputs.
Plus, you should always age your nectar for as long as you can to increase its quality so it sells for even more money.
Nectar Know-It-All Reward Trait
When your sim manages to finish the sims 4 expert nectar maker aspiration they’ll get the nectar know-it-all reward trait. This trait’s description says “These sims can craft pre-aged nectar, have an iron bladder when it comes to drinking nectar and their negative emotions have less influence on their current mood.”
The best part about this reward trait is that pre-aged nectar because you can sell this nectar for more money without having to wait for it to age for days and days in your basement!
