How to Get an Evil Chicken in The Sims 4
If you have chickens you may as well have a sims 4 evil chicken too, why not?
These chickens from The Sims 4: Cottage Living can be a little evil, but they can also protect your sim’s house from foxes, the grim reaper and Vlad!
How to Get an Evil Chicken in The Sims 4
There are actually two ways for you to get an evil chicken in your game. The first way is to feed a chicken a midnight treat and the other option is to hatch an evil chicken from an obsidian egg.
Feeding a Chicken a Midnight Treat
Your first option is to feed a chicken you already have a midnight treat! This is one of the many animal treats you can get through gameplay. You can get animal treats in one of the following ways:
- Purchasing them from the garden stall
- Doing errands for sims in the world
- Getting gifts from birds and rabbits
- Winning at the Finchwick Fair
- Trading Livestock for Treats
Once you’ve gotten your first midnight treat and fed it to any animal you can start cooking them yourself. You’ll find this option on the fridge and you’ll need these ingredients:
- Obsidian Egg
- Cowberry Jam
Once you have a midnight treat you’ll feed it to your chicken that you already have.

The chicken will eat it off the floor and the chicken will turn into an evil chicken immediately.

Hatching an Obsidian Egg
If you want to grow an evil chicken from birth you’ll need to hatch an obsidian egg. Evil chickens will lay obsidian eggs, but if you don’t yet have an evil chicken you can feed a regular hen a spicy treat because this will make their next egg obsidian.

However, you can’t hatch just any egg. You’ll need to create a hatchable obsidian egg. This is done by having at least one rooster in your chicken coop.
Hack: Feed your rooster a flirty treat to increase the chances of hatchable eggs!
It may take a few days of feeding spicy treats to hens to get a hatchable egg, but once you have it you’ll drag it into the front of the chicken coop. You can hover over the egg at any time to see how long until the egg will be able to be hatched.

You’ll need to make sure you have less than 8 chickens in the chicken coop and you’ll wait out the clock. Once the time is up you can click on the chicken coop and choose hatch eggs.

You’ll get a special green notification that says “A chicken hatching from a dark, foreboding obsidian egg? What could go wrong? It may seem like an innocent little chick for now but your sim should keep an eye on this little one. There’s a darkness within…”

You’ll see an adorable little chicken come out of the chicken coop looking scarier than the regular ones for sure. When the chick ages up you’ll see it looking quite spooky with dark feathers and bright red, fire eyes.

Asking an Evil Chicken for Help
The best part about having an evil chicken is being able to grow your friendship until you can ask for evil chicken help.

Clicking on this will unlock some abilities for your chicken! The notification says “Evil Chicken now has the fiery chicken magic of the evil chickens and can use it to ward off foxes, household enemies, vampires, and even… the Grim Reaper…”

This is awesome because the chicken will protect other chickens from foxes, keep Vlad from biting your sims in the night and can even protect everyone (including animals) from death if the evil chicken is kept happy! Honestly, watching an evil chicken beat up The Grim Reaper is the funniest thing ever.

Beware of Chicken Attacks
Did you know that your sim can literally get pecked to death by a chicken? Yeah, you need to keep your chickens happy and have a good relationship with them or else they can end your sim forever.

The thing is, this is much easier to make happy with an evil chicken. Just a few mean interactions with this chicken can result in the death of your sim!
