With The Sims 4: High School Years we got the addition of the sims 4 entrepreneur skill.

This skill lets your sims gain new abilities that help them earn money and run their own businesses more successfully!

What is The Entrepreneur Skill Good For?

The sims 4 entrepreneur skill is an interesting one because it has a lot of cross-pack compatibility.

The biggest use for this skill is it’s important for the influencer and streamer jobs that came with this pack as well. You’ll need these for promotions!

This skill also unlocks interactions that can help you earn more money from random hustles too!

How to Gain The Sims 4 Entrepreneur Skill

There are actually so many ways that your sims can gain this skill because it’s connected to anything that your sims do to make money that isn’t a regular job.

This means that your sims can gain this skill when they complete freelance gigs in the freelancer careers, doing odd jobs, and selling any items that they have created. This includes items like:

  • Paintings
  • Sculptures
  • Cross-Stitch (Cottage Living)
  • Knitting (Nifty Knitting)
  • Juice & Nectar (Eco Lifestyle & Horse Ranch)

Your sims are also able to gain the sims 4 entrepreneur skill when they play instruments for tips in public!

Your sims can gain the skill when doing interactions for entrepreneurship like advertising your streams online or researching business plans on the computer.

You’ll also gain this skill when doing a livestream when your sim is in the video game streamer career or when selling outfits on Trendi, there are seriously so many options to gain this skill.

How to Cheat The Sims 4 Entrepreneur Skill

If you want your sims to gain this skill without the effort you can cheat the skill instead. You just need to know stats.set_skill_level adultminor_entrepreneur 5 to max it out.

If you want a different level of the skill you can change the 5 at the end to whatever level from 1-4 you want your sim to have.

Levels Of The Skill

The entrepreneur skill is a minor skill in the game meaning there are only five levels for your sim to unlock. As your sim gains the skill they’ll unlock new abilities with the skill!

Level 1Your sim has started building fledgling Entrepreneur skills. Through hustling to build this skill, fame (but mostly fortune) awaits.
Level 2Your sim is brimming with great biz ideas an can now also promote their hustle by advertising online.
Level 3Gaining influence and multiple ways to earn money is key to your sim’s quest for world domination. To this end, they can now research business plan.
Level 4Credibility is a sure-fire way to get other investors to part with their hard-earning simoleons and back your biz. Your sim can now use their carefully crafted business plans and contact angel investors for funding.
Level 5Reaching the pinnacle of Entrepreneur savvy gives your sim unique hustle superpowers like being able to pass the entry requirements for appearing on Llama’s Lair and earning the coveted The Knowledge reward trait.

Getting Money From Investors

When your sim reaches level 3 of the sims 4 entrepreneur skill they unlock the ability to research their business plan. You’ll find this on a computer under career and your sim will work on it and the longer they work the higher the quality.

At level four of the skill your sim will will be able to click on that business plan in their inventory and choose to contact angel investor for funding and your sim will make a phone call. If the plan is high enough quality they can be given money for free!

Going on Llama’s Lair

At level five of the skill your sims can go on Llama’s lair, obviously that is supposed to be like Shark Tank or Dragon’s Den! Your sim needs a business plan in their inventory to do this and you should make sure its outstanding quality!

When you choose this option the sim will leave the house and go into a rabbit hole and when they return you’ll find out if the experience was successful or not!

The Knowledge Reward Trait

When you max the skill your sim is going to get The Knowledge reward trait! This is a great one because it will give your sim a bonus to a salary in any career and other sims will just like chatting to them more!

Improving The Skill With DLC

When you add DLC to your game you start getting new ways you can gain skills and do fun things with them, there are a few packs that impact the sims 4 entrepreneur skill.

Discover University

With the addition of The Sims 4: Discover University we got the addition of the ability to take skill classes to gain skills. This is easy because all you need to do is use your sim’s phone or go to a University Campus and click the building and choose sit in on skill class and choose entrepreneur!

These classes will cost your sim 250 simoleons and a few hours of their life but they’ll leave with more skill than they entered with.

Nifty Knitting

If you have The Sims 4: Nifty Knitting installed in your game your sims can gain the skill any time they sell an item on Plopsy. This is awesome because Plopsy is like Etsy so it truly feels like an entrepreneur/small business dream!
