The Sims 4 Diving Skill Guide
We have had diving boards in the game for a long time but we now have The Sims 4 Diving Skill to play with.
This skill from The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits allows your sims to have more fun with their pools and get better at diving and look cooler doing it.
What is Diving Good For?
There isn’t really much you can do with the sims 4 diving skill. You truly just get to look cooler when at the pool and can show off your jumps! A nice part about diving is that you’ll gain the skill while diving but as your sim is swimming to the edge they can gain the fitness skill too!
How to Gain The Sims 4 Diving Skill
When you first start gaining the diving skill you can click on a diving board and choose practice diving and your sim will use the diving board and jump into the water. Their first dives will be embarrassing and they may even fail, but as they gain the skill they’ll look better.
You can also gain the skill by clicking on a board and choosing classic jumps and doing a specific style of jump off the diving board.
When a sim has a low skill they are going to fail more often which can result in injury. Honestly, the failures are so fun to watch and their bodies move in weird ways.
As you increase the sims 4 diving skill your sim will start to look better and will unlock new jumps they can do. You’ll have the diving skill option when you click on the board and that menu will let you pick specific dives to do.
Ideal Mood for Diving
Every skill in the game has a specific emotion that is best for gaining it. When your sim is in that emotion they’ll gain the skill faster which is super helpful. The ideal mood for diving is confident. If you want to get your sim confident quickly, send them to the bathroom. Get them to psych self up on the mirror and then brush teeth on the sink!
Best Traits for Gaining The Sims 4 Diving Skill
Each skill has some traits that can help your sim gain it faster and make them have an easier time. The following traits can give good moodlets to help with diving:
- Loves the Outdoors: Diving is done outside! Your sim will get a happy moodlet when they are spending time outside so they’ll have a better time doing it.
- Self Assured: Since confident is the best mood for this skill self assured is great. Sims with this trait can get random confident moodlets from time to time!
How to Cheat The Diving Skill
With every skill there is a skill cheat that goes along with it. If you want to cheat the diving skill you can go ahead and use stats.set_skill_level minor_diving 5 to max it out.
If you want a different level of the skill you can change the 5 at the end of the skill to whatever level of the skill you’d wish to have.
Levels of the Sims 4 Diving Skill
The sims 4 diving skill is considered a minor skill which means there are only five levels of the skill to gain. As you grow the skill your sim will get better at diving and look better doing it.
