How to Get A Death Flower in The Sims 4
If you know anything about the game you know that the sims 4 death flower is one of the most powerful plants.
This little flower allows your sims to be protected from death or can help to bring them back from death!
How to Get A Death Flower in The Sims 4
There are a few ways that your sim is able to get a death flower in the game, you can graft plants together, purchase them in rare packets or buy them if you have Realm of Magic.
Grafting Plants Together
There are a number of plants that can be grafted together to create entirely new plants and the death flower is one of them. To make a death flower you need to craft together an orchid and a pomegranate. To get these items you can graft the following combinations:
- Graft Together an Apple and a Cherry to Get a Pomegranate
- Graft Together a Lilly and a Snapdragon to Get an Orchid
- Graft Together an Orchid and a Pomegranate to Get a Death Flower
Grafting is easy, you just first need to grow the two types of plants fully. You’ll click on one plant and choose take a cutting and then go to the other plant and choose graft and use that cutting to craft it together and then wait for it to start blossoming your new item.
Note: Your sim needs to be at level 5 of the gardening skill to be able to graft!
When you harvest from a grafted plant you can get one of the two items that were used to create it, as well as the new plant item. So harvesting that can give you a pomegranate, orchid or a death flower.
Purchasing Rare Seed Packets
The very first thing you can do is purchase rare seed packets that are unlocked at level 10 of the gardening skill. These have a chance to give you a death flower as well as others like a dragonfruit or a growfruit.
You’ll click on these in your sim’s inventory and choose open seed packet until you get one with a death flower.
Purchasing it in The Magic Realm
There are three shops at Caster’s Alley inside of The Magic Realm where you can purchase tons of stuff.
The first two shops will help you purchase items from the magical artifacts collection but the final shop lets you purchase potion ingredients. On some days you can purchase a death flower from this shop!
Protecting Sims From Death
If a sim witnesses another sim’s death they can’t do much but plea, however, if they have a death flower in their inventory they can have the sim stay alive! This will give elder sims a few more days of life and will just protect sims who die from random things like hunger or heat.
To use this you’ll click on Grim while he is reaping and choose give death flower. You’ll get a notification letting you know that the plea worked!
Bringing Sims Back to Life With Ambrosia
If you want to bring a sim back to life from being a ghost you can have a sim cook ambrosia. You’ll need them to have level 10 of the gourmet cooking skill as well as the following ingredients:
- Death Flower
- Angelfish
- Can be caught in many places (i.e., tip of peninsula fishing spot in Crawdad Quarter neighbourhood of Willow Creek)
- Potion of Youth
- Purchased from the reward store with satisfaction points
Once the ambrosia is cooked you can have a ghost eat it and they will come back to life. If a living sim eats it you’ll see their current life stage brought back to day 1!
Using Death Flowers in Flower Arrangements
If you play around with the flower arranging skill and scent a flower arrangement with a death flower it can have dire consequences. If you gift this flower arrangement to an elder aged sim they will immediately die!
The sims 4 death flower is actually insanely useful to keep your sims alive as long as you know how to get one. Keeping a death flower in every sim’s inventory is a great hack for keeping them alive longer.
