Food is a must for all humans and that’s true for sims! If you fail to feed your sims they’ll have the awful experience of the sims 4 death by starvation.
This death type comes with the base game and will happen when your sims hunger need gets too low.
How to Get Death by Starvation in The Sims 4
Your sims have a bunch of needs that you need to care for including their hygiene and energy need. This death type focuses on their hunger need! When you fail to feed your sim for a while you’ll see them get a +1 Uncomfortable moodlet called Hungry.
This moodlet lasts 24 hours if you fail to feed your sim in that time it will change to Ravenous and not long after that you’ll get the purple notification saying that the sim is dying from starvation.
This sim will fall to their needs and do things like pointing to their mouth and grabbing onto their stomach until they land on the ground!
Starvation Ghost
Unfortunately, the starvation ghost doesn’t have any cool visual effects in their body like other deaths do, so it’s just a boring plain ghost.
These sims will get the death by hunger trait that says “This sim starved to death, and the hunger pangs have followed into the afterlife.”
