How to Get Death by Spellcaster Overload in The Sims 4

Doing too much magic sounds fun but it can lead to the sims 4 death by spellcaster overload!

This death type comes with The Sims 4: Realm of Magic and requires your sim to do too much magic.

How to Get Death by Spellcaster Overload in The Sims 4

In your spellcaster sim’s needs panel you’ll see a large ball at the top. This is their current spellcaster charge and you need to pay attention to this. If you have your sim do too many spells in a row their spellcaster charge will increase and if you do it too much they can die.

When you channel too much energy you’ll get moodlets like a +2 Uncomfortable one called Magical Overload, which is the games way of warning players that this can happen.

When you overload your sim, they may not die on the first try. They’ll get completely singed though and will have a bad time. This increases their odds of dying the next time the sim overloads.

When the sim overloads the game will give you that purple notification that says “You sim is dying by Spellcaster Overload!” and the sim will get electrocuted and surrounded by sparkles and be risen to the sky until they fall and wait for The Grim Reaper.

Spellcaster Overload Ghost

A spellcaster ghost who passed from overload will have a fun visual effect that you can see. They have a bunch of small sparkles that are flying around their body and a beam of light that you can see from time to time.

These sims will get the death by spellcaster overload trait. This trait says “Overload ghosts are valid targets for magical interactions including duels, training and more.”
