How to Get Death by Rabid Rodent Fever in The Sims 4
There are so many weird things in the sims and the sims 4 death by rabid rodent fever is definitely one of them!
This death type comes with (the worst stuff pack) The Sims 4: My First Pet Stuff and requires your sim to have (and neglect) their pet rodent.
How to Get Death by Rabid Rodent Fever in The Sims 4
The key to getting this death type is being mean and neglectful toward a rodent. I know, that’s terrible, but that’s the only way! You’ll need to purchase the rodent house and then ignore the animal’s needs (obviously make sure they have food) and only do mean interactions with them so you have a bad relationship.
Once their habitat is dirty and you have a bad relationship you’ll want to click on the rodent home and choose play with and have the target sim play with them. When you do this there is a chance that the rodent will be mad and will bite your sim right on the nose, which is one of the funniest animations in the game.
If this worked, your sim will get a notification saying “Your SIm’s head is starting to ache, and there’s a tickle in the back of their throat. It seems they may have contracted a serious sickness.”
After seeing this notification your sim will have a +1 Uncomfortable moodlet called Feeling Fuzzy and you have 24 hours until it turns into Fuzzy Fever which is a +2 Uncomfortable moodlet.
The real bad stuff happens when you wait two days and let it get to a +2 Dazed Moodlet called Rabid Rodent Fever. If you let that moodlet expire on its own, you’ll see your sim go through the interesting experience of rabid rodent fever death.
Dying this death the sim will act like a rodent and have green foam coming out of their mouth until they fall to the ground and wait for The Grim Reaper.
How to Cure Rabid Rodent Fever
Thankfully, this doesn’t need to be a death sentence. You can have your sim go to a computer and under the research menu you can learn about rabid rodent fever.
Doing this will teach you that you can order a cure to remove the rabid rodent fever from a sim, or you can inoculate yourself with a vaccine to prevent a future outbreak.
You can purchase the cure for 500 simoleons or the vaccine for 800 simoleons!
Spreading Rabid Rodent Fever
If you want to have a bunch of sims all catch this disease, you’re in luck! The disease becomes contagious and you’ll get a bright orange notification telling you when your sim has become contagious.
Any sim that interacts with this sim can catch the disease, so it’s an easy way to have a death party.
Rabid Rodent Fever Ghost
When a sim dies of rabid rodent fever their ghost will have the death by rabid rodent fever trait. This trait says “This sim succumbed to Rabid Rodent Fever, and spreads fear of pestilence and disease in the afterlife.”
The best part is that this trait makes it so your sim has to wear a ghost rat costume for their entire afterlife. This is definitely one of the best ghost types and they are even foaming at the mouth which is hilarious.
If you want your sim to be a regular looking ghost you can actually have them drink the inoculation serum that you can purchase on the computer after researching rabid rodent fever. This will change them to a regular looking ghost!
