How to Get Death by Overexertion in The Sims 4

Elders have lived a long life and now they can’t exercise too much or they risk experiencing the sims 4 death by overexertion!

This death is available to all players in the base game and is a sad one to watch.

When you get an elder sim to do any type of exercise (i.e., swimming, using a treadmill, boxing, etc) and they do it long enough they’ll get a +40 Uncomfortable moodlet called Dangerously Tired.

This moodlet’s description says “Elders don’t have the stamina they used to and at the moment Your Sim is exhausted. Continuous strenuous activity could be fatal right now.” While this moodlet is active most exercise won’t be possible because it’ll say your sim is far too uncomfortable to do this.

There are some exercise types that can get past this and one of them is woohoo. So, a sim can literally woohoo to their death if they’re an elder.

After doing exercise (or woohoo) the sim will walk to an area where they have enough space and start the process. They’ll go down on their knees and grab onto their wrists to check their pulse and then fall to the ground until The Grim Reaper comes.

Overexertion Ghost

Unfortunately, the overexertion ghost is a base game one so it doesn’t have any cool visual effects or abilities tied to it.

This ghost will have the death by overexertion trait that says “apparently it is possible to overdo it. This sim did it to death.” which is one of the funniest and simplest descriptions.
