How to Get Death by Murphy Bed in The Sims 4
If you’ve ever wanted to be crushed by a place where you want to sleep you can try the sims 4 murphy bed death type!
This death type comes with The Sims 4: Tiny Living and requires you to purchase a specific type of space-saving bed.
How to Get Death by Murphy Bed in The Sims 4
To have this death happen you’ll need to have a Murphy bed, of course. You can search Murphy bed in the build catalog to find one of the options, any of them will do.
You’ll have your sim lower the Murphy bed and they’ll use a remote. When it malfunctions you’ll see the sim use the remote, nothing happens and then they will walk over and try to open it with force.
The first time this happens your sim won’t die, they’ll get thrown around a little but will eventually get up and they’ll get a +2 Uncomfortable moodlet called Stuck Under Bed that will last four hours.
Now that it’s happened once your sim is at risk and each time you have them lower the bed the risk is there!
The sim will get crushed and just not get up, and that’s when you know it’s gone wrong for your sim. The Grim Reaper will come and take them away and you can choose to play with them as a ghost.
How to Avoid This Death Type
There is actually a way you can try and protect your sim from this death type with upgrades! You’re able to add two upgrades to the bed that help avoid this scary death so you can have a Murphy bed without the fear.
The first upgrade you’ll have access to is the spring loaded upgrade that requires level three of the handiness skill and will reduce how often the bed will malfunction.
The second upgrade is called reinforced spring wiring and this actually makes the bed unbreakable which means you’ll never have this experience again! You’ll need level 8 of handiness for this upgrade.
Murphy Bed Ghost
When your sim becomes a ghost from this death type they are going to have a funny visual. These ghosts have a set of z’s happening in their sleep, showing that they were literally killed by a bed.
This sim will have the death by being crushed by a Murphy bed trait that has a description that reads “This Sim has found death via a vengeful Murphy bed.”
