How to Get Death by Freezing in The Sims 4

Who would’ve thought our sims could die from weather? Spending too much time in cold weather can lead to the sims 4 death by freezing.

This comes with The Sims 4: Seasons and requires your sim to be dressed incorrectly in freezing temperatures.

How to Get Death by Freezing in The Sims 4

When you create your sim you’ll be able to set their everyday outfit as well as their hot and cold weather outfit. If you choose to have a sim go outside when the weather is freezing in the winter in anything but cold weather clothes you risk their death!

When you first have them go outside you’ll get a +1 Uncomfortable moodlet called Chilled and that’s your first warning. Eventually, it’ll change to +99 Uncomfortable called Freezing and at that point you’ll need to bring them inside if you want them to survive.

You’ll see your sim turn blue and you’ll get a scary orange notification that says Freezing to Death and warns that your sim needs to find warm clothing before they become too cool for life.

Ignoring this will lead to their death! The sim will stay blue, then get turned into a giant ice block that will eventually fall over and smash on the ground where they will wait for The Grim Reaper.

Death by Freezing Ghost

The ghost for this death type is a fun one because they have a slight steam coming off their body. It’s like when you’re freezing cold and you can see your breath!

When your sim dies they’ll be given the death by freezing trait that reads “This sim died from excessive exposure to freezing temperatures.”
