How to Get Death by Embarrassment in The Sims 4
We’ve all been embarrassed before, but your sims can experience the sims 4 death by embarrassment!
I actually think this death type is one of the hardest ones to make happen because embarrassment isn’t as easy to control as anger or hysteria.
Note: All of the emotional deaths get more difficult to obtain the more DLC you own because there are so many moodlets that your sim can experience at once!
How to Get Death by Embarrassment in The Sims 4
To have a sim die from embarrassment you’ll need to stack a bunch of embarrassed moodlets at once until they are mortified. Some ways you can have your sim get embarrassed include:
- Having a sim walk in while they’re showing or using the toilet
- Having a sim walk in when a sim is woohooing
- Having the sim pee themselves
- Having a rejected wedding proposal
- Being caught cheating on their partner
- Having a non-celebrity live on a celebrity lot in Del Sol Valley (Get Famous)
- Doing a banned activity during a club gathering (Get Together)
- Having a Kleptomaniac sim get caught trying to steal something
- Having a sim who is socially awkward (High School Years) fail at social interactions
These are pretty hard to force like you can with some playful or angry ones, so this can be hard to make happen.
You’ll need to do a bunch of stuff to get this to happen, like a lot. My sim had the following moodlets when they died from embarrassment.
- Peed Self +5 (From Peeing Self)
- Essence of Embarrassment +2 (From Cowplant Essence)
- I Got the Moos! +2 (From Eating Cowberry Jam) – Cottage Living
- Awkward Encounter +2 (From Socialization)
- Better Than That +2 (From Good Manner Trait and Being Gross) – Parenthood
- Cannot Unsee! +1 (From Privacy Violation)
- Privacy Invaded! (From Privacy Violation
- Poser! (From Celebrity Home Lot Trait) – Get Famous
That’s a ridiculous amount of moodlets to have to have to make a sim get mortified and die from embarrassment, but that’s what I needed to make happen.
When you start stacking these moodlets you’ll eventually see a sim get mortified which is exactly what you want. When you hit that, you’re close. But you’ll need more embarrassed moodlets to get the job done.
Once the death hits you’ll get a purple notification letting you know. The sim will hide their face, bed over and try to hide from everyone and then eventually fall to the floor and wait for The Grim Reaper.
Death by Embarrassment Ghost
The ghost for this death type doesn’t have any special visual effects, just a regular ol’ ghost.
These ghosts will have the death by embarrassment trait that says “This Sim was mortified, and died of embarrassment. Literally.”
