How to Get Death by Drowning in The Sims 4

If you want to experience the classics your sim needs to have a sims 4 death by drowning experience.

You’ve been able to do this in the game for years, and it’s been such a fun one forever.

How to Get Death by Drowning in The Sims 4

Drowning is a classic death in The Sims universe and in the past all you needed to do was delete a pool ladder. Now sims are a bit smarter and can get themselves out by pulling themselves up the side, so you need to be a little craftier.

You can have your sim go into a pool and then go into build mode and create a fence around them so they can’t leave. Your sim will actually tread water for a long time, I can’t even imagine how sore my legs would be.

The key to this is having the sim’s needs get so low that they either pass out or they starve to death in the pool. Either way, the sim’s death will be count as drowning.

Once this happens thee sim will flail around a little bit and then start to sink to the bottom of the swimming pool.

Drowning Ghost

The ghost for drowning is a fun one because it has a small visual effect. This ghost will often have a drip of water falling down inside their body!

These ghosts will have the death by drowning trait which says “This Sim drowned in a body of water and now has a fear of all water.”

Sims wit h the death by drowning trait will have a fear of water, meaning they’ll get a scared moodlet when they do the following activities:

  • Taking a bath
  • Going Swimming in Pools
  • Going Swimming in The Ocean
