Where to Catch The Cryptid Moth in The Sims 4

If you want to finish the moth & butterfly collection you’ll need to find the sims 4 cryptid moth which can take a while.

This collection comes with The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits and requires your sims to talk to the Peculiar Plumbird in Gibbi Point!

Where to Catch The Cryptid Moth in The Sims 4

Each of the moths and butterflies in the game has a little riddle you can find in the collections menu. For the Cryptid Moth you’ll read “In the dark of night on Crystal Valley’s land, a Cryptid Moth lurks. The mystery expands. In the foliage near the Plumbird’s lair, solve the quest to find it there.”

This is telling you that you need to finish the Peculiar Plumbird Quests to be able to see and catch this moth.

You’ll be able to start these quests by going to the Crystal Valley neighbourhood and in the middle of a bunch of trees you’ll see a birds nest.

If you click on that nest you can choose to dig your talons into peculiar plumbird lore which will open a menu where you’ll choose one of three quests.

You’ll need to actually finish all three of these quests, as well as the Community Spirit Quest that appears once the first three are complete.

After completing these quests you’ll want to head back to Crystal Valley and go to right outside where the Plumbird’s nest is.

At night (should be between 6AM and 6PM) you’ll see the Cryptid Moth appear outside of the Plumbird’s lair and you’ll be able to catch it.
