Is your kid so cool? Well, with the sims 4 cool kid on the block aspiration they can be even cooler!
This aspiration from The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits has your kid making friends and winning games with a competitive spirit.
Best Traits for The Sims 4 Cool Kid on The Block Aspiration
You may want to think about your kids’ traits before starting this aspiration, there are two traits that can be helpful to finishing this aspiration:
- Outgoing: A lot of this aspiration is about gaining the social skill for your kids so being outgoing can be helpful.
- Competitive: This is the new trait with adventure awaits and a lot of this aspiration has you playing games, so being competitive can make it more interesting.
Stages of the Aspiration
There are three stages of the sims 4 cool kid on the block aspiration to play through with your child. You’ll do tasks like playing rock, paper, scissors, making friends and gaining the social skill.
Stage One: Rock Star

- Play Rock, Paper Scissors for a Collectible 5 Times
This first thing you need to do is play Rock, Paper, Scissors for a collectible. To do this you’ll need to find a specific sim in the Crystal Valley neighbourhood of Gibbi point. You’re looking for the Gibbi Point Collector who is hanging out around the abandoned Mine Shaft.

You’ll want to click on this sim and choose play for collectable against Buddy.

When you choose this option you’ll get a menu that appears that shows you the collectible you can win. It will be something that you haven’t finished in your household collections so you’ll have a chance to get more collections finished.

Thankfully, you don’t have to beat this kid a bunch of times you just need to play against them.
- Win Rock, Paper, Scissors 5 Times
You can have your sim play rock paper scissors at any time by clicking on another sim and under the friendly category you’ll see activities. You’ll click that and choose rock paper scissors and you can choose between best of 3 or one single game.

I tried different variations of traits to see if my sim could win more often but nothing really helped. So, it was just luck. Just play a bunch of games and you’ll get there eventually.
- Befriend 3 Children
The next task you have is to befriend three different children. You’ll need to get your sim to 35% friendship with three different kids.

Sometimes the hardest part is just finding kids to befriend, but there are a few ways you can do that. The first way is to change your sim from “normal” to “make friends” when at school. Each day you do this you should have your sim meet a new friend you can chat with.

With Adventure Awaits you can send your kid on a getaway to go to an outdoor kids camp. This is awesome because it will auto-fill slots to have a bunch of kids around that your sim can hangout with at the camp and make friends so fast!

Getting to level four of the social skill is super easy as long as you get your sim to talk to others. Since you need to befriend 3 children in this part, this should be super easy. You’ll gain the skill any time your sim is doing social interactions but once you’re at level 2 you can also Watch Funny Videos on Sim.TV or chat in kids chatrooms on a computer.

Stage Two: Seeking Admiration

- Find 5 Hiding Sims During Hide and Seek
A fun new thing in this pack is Hide and Seek, you’ll click on a sim and choose ask to play hide and seek.

A menu will open and you can choose any sims on the lot to play with you.

When you start, your sim will be the seeker and will cover their eyes. The rest of the sims will scatter and find places to hide. Your sim will autonomously start looking for sims but it can take a while.

The locations where sims are hiding will sparkle and you can click them and choose look for hiding sims to speed up the process.
- Trade for 3 New Collectibles
With this pack we got the option to trade for collectables which is amazing so you can give away something and get one you haven’t gotten yet in return.
You’ll go ahead and click on a sim and choose trade for new collectable with Sim.

A menu will open and you’ll be able to choose any collectable in your sim’s inventory. They’ll give away thatt one and get a random collectable in return.

My sim traded their Sunsurfer Frog and got back a Surfer Leaf Frog in return which was a frog they hadn’t previously found.
To truly be a cool kid your sim needs to be charismatic and having the social skill is how to do it. Getting to level 8 of the skill is easy because you can gain it any time your sim is chatting with another sim. You can also gain this skill by using kids chatrooms on the computer!
- Win an Archery Competition
You’ll first want to get your sim to gain the archery skill by getting them to practice, so they can at least be OK at it before they challenge anyone to a competition. You can purchase an archery target from build mode for 315 simoleons but there are also targets at a lot of parks in Gibbi Point.

You’ll want to click on it and choose practice archery and get your sim a few levels of the skill. Then you’ll click on the target and choose to start archery competition with and a menu will appear and you can choose the sim to challenge.

If you have a sim in your household with no levels of the skill, they’re a great person to challenge so your child can win easily! If not, you can just keep trying to win competitions until you succeed.
Stage Three: Block Champion

Cool kids always have a best friend and your sim needs to make a BFF. To do this you’ll want to get your sim to 80% friendship with another sim. When you do this you’ll see the option to become best friends appear, if you don’t you can go to the change relationship menu when you click on the other sim and it should be there.

- Win 3 Competitive Games
Your sim now needs to win three competitive games which can include Rock, Paper, Scissors or Archery competitions which we’ve already gone over in this guide.
I tested this with the Bullseye dartboard and it counted as a “competitive game” as well! This was earned in an event, so it isn’t available to everyone.
- Complete any Collection
There are so many collections in The Sims 4, especially when you start having packs installed. You can complete a MySims collection, postcards, or use Adventure Awaits and have your sim find every butterfly and moth to finish that collection.
The collection you choose is individual to each player and it will take you a while to complete no matter what, so just pick one that you want to work through! In theory, you can just play and trade for collectibles until your sim manages to get the entire collection.
Coolest Kid Reward Trait
When your child ends up finishing the sims 4 cool kid on the block aspiration they’ll be given the coolest kid reward trait.

This trait’s description reads “This sim is the coolest kid on the block! All of the other kids will want to be just like them due to their cool aura. Coolest kids have a much easier time making friends with other kids, as well as winning in competitive games.”
