The Sims 4 Collections

There are dozens of sims 4 collections to play around with and all of them are so much fun!

For each of them you’ll need to know how to find the items, and honestly just reading the descriptions on these collectibles is hilarious.

Base Game Collections

Aliens

The aliens collection is a fun one because you get it by sending your sim to space. You can get these by travelling to space in the base game, or by going to Sixam with Get to Work!

Crystals

This collection is found in many ways. Your sim can dig these up from rocks, find them while fishing or if you have DLC you can grow trees with crystals or pan for crystals.

Elements

Elements are found by sending metals and crystals to the geo council and you’ll get elements back in return.

Fish

There are dozens of fish to catch in the game and each of them requires you to find the specific location to catch them. Some of the fish even require specific bait!

Fossils

If you dig up certain rocks in the game you’ll get limestone in your sim’s inventory and you can turn those into fossils! This collection can make really cute decor in gardens.

Frogs

Frogs are an interesting collection because you can go ahead and find them in the wild, but you can also breed them with each other to get new frogs.

Gardening

If you want to complete the gardening collection you only need to get the base game plants. The rest are just a bonus!

Metals

Your sims can get metals from various rocks in the world that can be dug up. You can even turn these metals into elements by sending them to the Geo Council.

Microscope Prints

There are some items in the game that you can have your sim take microscope samples from. When you put those into a giant microscope you can get these really cool prints to use as decor.

MySims Trophies

These trophies are found by digging up dirt piles around the different worlds. You’ll get a treasure chest and when opened, you can usually get one of these MySims.

Postcards

Postcards are obtained through either getting a pen pal for your sim or by having a small rodent in My First Pet Stuff! These make super cute decor for cork boards and more.

Space Prints

These space prints are some really interesting and fun decor. You’ll need a giant backyard observatory and your sim can get these through looking at both the day and night sky.

Space Rocks

Space rocks are found by having your sim explore space in a rocket ship. You’ll get action cards and need to answer them in specific ways to bring home more loot.

Sugar Skulls

If you have a sim pass away you can give a sugar skull offering and a sim will appear in the neighbourhood. You can chat with that sim and get sugar skulls from them to work on the collection.

Decorative Eggs

These decorative eggs can be found randomly when digging up dirt piles or fishing in various worlds. If you have Seasons installed you can also throw a holiday with an egg hunt to get these.

Magic Beans

This collection was originally for an event but can be obtained through rare seeds or asking plant sims for them. You’ll turn them into a tree and can become a plant sim for yourself.

DLC Collections

Holiday Cracker Plushies

This collection comes with the free Holiday Celebration Pack. Your sim will need to purchase holiday crackers and open them to hopefully get these adorable plushies.

Insects

This collection from Outdoor Retreat requires your sim to catch different bugs from bees to dragonflies in Granite Falls.

Geodes

This collection from Get to Work are found by travelling to Planet Sixam and polishing geodes you find. There are only six but they make cute decor.

Experimental Food Prints

This collection from Dine Out requires your sim to go to restaurants and eat weird food. Make sure to take a photo to work on this collection!

Voidcritters

This collection from Kids Room Stuff is a bunch of trading cards that your kids can train and battle with other sims. There’s even regular cards and foil cards you can get if you’re lucky.

Snow Globes

With City Living you can search cardboard boxes that are left around and you can find snow globes. These are such a cute little things to decorate with.

City Posters

This collection from City Living is posters that are found on electric boxes around the world of San Myshuno. They make for really cute decor for your sims!

Feathers

With Cats & Dogs your pets are able to bring your sim a pile of feathers to work on the collection. Get them all and you can create a unique bird statue!

Ancient Omiscan Artifacts

These artifacts come to the game with Jungle Adventure and requires your sim to authenticate artifacts with archaeology. You’ll need to go deep in the jungle to find good stuff.

Omiscan Treasures

If your sim explores the temple in Jungle Adventure they can open special treasure chests and get Omiscan Treasures. These are the most valuable collections worth 7,000+ each.

This collection from Island Living can be found by having your sim go beachcombing on any beach in Sulani.

Buried Treasure

The buried treasure collection from Island Living can be found in caves, from befriending a dolphin or from diving for treasure in the ocean.

Magical Artifacts

This collection from Realm of Magic includes wands, brooms and familiars. Your sim can purchase these in the magic realm but also duel for them with other spellcasters.

Simmies

The Simmies collection from Snowy Escape requires your sim to find a vending machine and purchase capsules to get a random Simmi. If you’re lucky you’ll even get gold Simmies!

Village Fair Ribbons

This collection from Cottage Living has your sim needing to win all of the fairs. You’ll need giant crops and great animals!

Messages in a Bottle

This collection from Wedding Stories has your sim digging up sand piles to find messages from other sims that you can read. Collecting these is just wholesome and can make cute decor.

This collection from Werewolves can be found by fishing, scavenging the ground and exploring the underground areas. You’ll only be able to learn about these if you’ve had a Lunar Epiphany!

Coloured Marbles

This collection from For Rent is found by going to the night market, purchasing them online or playing other sims for keeps. You can even store them in a cute jar!

Tassels

This collection from For Rent has your sim searching Tomarang by digging in sand, going to the night market and even sneaking into a Tiger Sanctuary. Find them all and you can make a unique shirt for your sims.

Axolotls

This collection from Lovestruck can be found in their habitats and even bred to finish the collection faster. This is one of the only collections your sim can’t earn money from, you can’t sell these!

Tarot Cards

This collection from Life & Death can be found by reading riddles and figuring them all out. You’ll find 25 cards and summon Grim for 26. Then, when you have the whole collection you can turn them into a special tarot deck!

Trashley Certified Art

This collection comes from Business & Hobbies and requires your sim to find Trashley Reelpearson, a definite person… not a weird racoon! They will sell you their art work or boxes where you might get a piece of art.

Nordhaven Bike Parts

This collection from Business & Hobbies has your sims trying to clean out the water in the world and getting bike parts in return. If you finish the collection you can trade it in for a ridable bike!

Innisgreen Ingredients

This collection comes with Enchanted by Nature and your sim will need these items to create things with the apothecary skill. You’ll need to forage and collect emotions from water and plants.

Butterflies & Moths

This collection comes with Adventure Awaits and has your sim going around Gibbi Point looking for butterflies and moths. There are 14 to collect and each of them has a riddle that helps you find them.

There are a whole bunch of limited time event collections that you can’t get unless you were there are the time. These include:

  • Touch Grass Weekly
  • Magnets
