How to Use The Buy Debug Cheat in The Sims 4

If you ever want access to random items your sims use but they aren’t in the build catalog you can use the sims 4 buy debug cheat.

This cheat gives you access to thousands of items from plates and cups to fruits to puzzle pieces.

How to Use Buy Debug

To get access to the debug items you’ll open your cheat box and enable cheats by typing in testingcheats true to open the cheat box you can use the following commands:

  • PC: Ctrl + Shift + C
  • Mac: Command + Shift + C
  • Console: All Four Triggers

Then you’ll want to type in bb.showhiddenobjects into that same box to unlock these objects. You can then go into the build catalog and start finding items.

You have a few options for finding items in debug, you can search for specific items (i.e., strawberry to find a strawberry to plant) or you can search the word debug to see a bunch of random items.

Debug is very unorganized and can be a huge pain, but that’s just the way it goes.

Making Debug Better With Mods

Modders make my world go ’round and Twisted Mexi has made a perfect mod for debug. Many of the items in debug are hard to find and it can be a super pain in the butt, but with the Better Build Buy mod you can have a more organized experience in the debug catalog!

The first awesome thing with this mod is that you don’t need to even use the cheat, you can find a filter that will let you just click on the check box to see all debug items!

Some other awesome things is that this mod takes items and puts them into one item slot. This is for things like the Fabricated Furniture from Eco Lifestyle that usually has each swatch as a specific item.

You can also use the eyedropper tool to clone items with Better Build Buy!
