How to Get Butterflies and Moths in The Sims 4
I always want to play around with collections and the sims 4 butterflies and moths collection is such a cute one.
This collection comes from The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits and has you searching for or raising your own insects!
How to Get Butterflies and Moths in The Sims 4
There are two ways you can work on your butterflies and moths collection in the game. The first way is to go around the different neighbourhoods and catch them yourself and the other option is to incubate them from a caterpillar.
Catching Your Butterflies & Moths
The first option for this collection is to find them in Gibbi Point. Each of them has a specific location and time of day where they can be caught. You’ll need to find these moths and butterflies and then click and them and choose to catch them.

When you catch them they will go into your sim’s inventory and you can drag them out into the world to use as decor as a gorgeous collection.
Want to catch all the butterflies and moths but don’t know where? Check out this walk-through where I found each of them and listed their locations!
Raising Your Butterflies & Moths from Caterpillars
The second option is to raise these from caterpillars which is a really fun way to do it. You’ll need to purchase the Flutterarium Caterpillar Incubator from either build mode or the Ranger’s station in Wanderwood Wilds.

You’ll click on this item and choose start raising a caterpillar and when you do a menu will open.

If you have a low level of the entomology skill you’ll only be able to raise a random one, but with a higher level you’ll be able to choose exactly which butterflies and moths to choose from.

You’ll see a caterpillar on a little stick and you have interactions you can do. You’ll want to feed and view the caterpillar whenever the option is available because doing these will make the caterpillar grow faster!

After being a caterpillar they will go into a cocoon and you’ll be able to view them or read to them and you should do these too so they grow into a moth or butterfly faster.

Once they’re fully grown you can just click on it and choose Gather and it will count toward the collection.
Keeping Your Sims 4 Butterflies & Moths in the Habitat
If you want a place to keep all of your butterflies and moths you can purchase the Gibbi Point Butterfly & Moth Habitat from the build catalog for 600 simoleons. This is a large item that looks really adorable in an outdoor garden.

Once you have this item you can click on this and choose to place your butterflies and moths inside and viewing it can give sims moodlets. There is space for one of each butterfly and moth.
