The Sims 4 Bodybuilder Aspiration Guide

There are tons of aspirations to play with and the sims 4 bodybuilder aspiration is all about fitness.

This aspiration comes to your game with the sims 4 base game, so everyone has played with this one at least once!

High Metabolism Bonus Trait

When you start your sim off with a fitness aspiration they are going to get the high metabolism bonus trait. This is helpful for finishing this aspiration because it helps you stay slim.

The description of this trait says “It is easier to stay fit and trim when you have a high metabolism.” and I must say, I appreciate the rhyme.

Ideal Traits for The Sims 4 Bodybuilder Aspiration

The traits you give your sims are super important for skill gains and can help you get through aspirations more quickly. Here’s some traits that are good for completing this aspiration:

  • Active: Sims who have the active trait get random energized moodlets. This is the ideal mood for gaining the fitness skill so your sims will gain it faster!
  • Bro: Sims with this trait can watch sports to get a strong energized moodlet!
  • Loves Outdoors: If you want your sims to swim or jog to gain this skill this can be helpful to keep them happy.
  • High Metabolism: This trait is given to sims who start with an athletic aspiration. High metabolism will make it so much easier to reach your sim’s maximum body potential!

You should also consider adding lot traits to your sim’s household so you can maximize your skill gains for this aspiration:

  • Bracing Breezes: The bracing breezes lot trait will give an increase in skill gains for the fitness skill.
  • Sunny Aspect: This is a trait that comes with The Sims 4: City Living. This gives a random moodlet to sims at 6 PM each day. This trait will either be energized, inspired or happy, and you can use those energized moodlets to your advantage.

Stages of the Aspiration

There are four stages of the sims 4 bodybuilder aspiration for your sim to work through. Each stage has specific tasks that your sims need to complete and they’ll get some satisfaction points when they finish them.

Stage One: Basic Trainer

  • Work Out for 8 Total Hours

The first thing you need to do for the sims 4 bodybuilder aspiration is work out for 8 total hours. This is so easy and there are so many ways you can do it:

  • Go Jogging
  • Do Pushups or Sit Ups
  • Boxing
  • Using a Treadmill
  • Using a Weight Machine

All you need to do is any of these options for 8 total hours over time. It doesn’t need to be 8 hours in a row!

  • Work Out at a Gym Venue

The next thing you need to do is get your sim to workout at a gym venue. There are gyms in both Oasis Springs and Willow Creek that you can go to!

Once you’re in a gym venue you can click on any of the workout equipment and choose to workout and it will immediately satisfy the requirement.

Stage Two: Exercise Demon

The next thing you need to do is get to level four of the fitness skill. This is super easy because there are so many ways your sim can do this. You can jog, swim, box, use weight machines, and so much more.

The next thing your sim will need to do to finish the sims 4 bodybuilder aspiration is push the limits for 1 hour while energized. That may sound complicated, but it’s not. Go ahead and get your sim to complete a workout on a treadmill or a workout machine. Then, you’ll want to get them energized.

The easiest way to get them energized is to take a brisk shower and you’ll get a +1 Energized for 4 hours. If you have the bro trait you can also get them to watch sports. Now that your sim is energized you’ll want to go back to the workout equipment and click on it.

You’ll see the option to do an energized workout and it will have (push the limits) next to it. This only appears if your sim has recently completed a workout. That’s why you need to finish a workout, get energized then do this immediately!

  • Own 2 Pieces of Workout Equipment

The final thing you need to do for this section is to own two pieces of workout equipment. This includes a few items that you can purchase including:

  • Punching Bags
  • Treadmills
  • Exercise Machines
  • Rock Climbing Walls (Fitness Stuff)
  • Training Bot (Strangerville)

All you need to do is own two of these items and place them on your lot. If your sims don’t have tons of money you can even just purchase them, place them on the lot and then sell them immediately after you fulfill the requirements.

Stage Three: Fit to a T

Gaining the fitness skill is easy, and it’s nice because there are just so many options to gain this skill so it doesn’t get boring. To complete this section just keep doing things like swimming, using exercise equipment and doing pushups.

  • Go Jogging for 2 Total Hours

The next thing to complete is going jogging for two hours. To do this you can click on your sim and if they are energized go jogging might just be there alone, or you might find it under exercise.

You just need to do this for two hours. If you have The Sims 4: Seasons installed in your game just make sure that your sim is properly dressed for the weather so they don’t die!

  • Spend 10 Hours Exercising

This is so easy to complete because you’ll already be working hard at gaining the fitness skill and exercising all the time. This is a cumulative number, so you don’t need to do 10 hours in a row.

Stage Four: Bodybuilder

Reaching level 10 of the fitness skill may take a while, but it’s easy to do. Just keep getting your sim to exercise daily, push the limits when you can and you’ll get this in no time.

Pro Tip: If you’re feeling lazy and just want to cheat this part just throw stats.set_skill_level skill_fitness 10 into that cheat dialogue box instead.

This is the part of this aspiration that many sims have problems with because it can take a while and many don’t understand how to make it happen. Getting a sim to reach their maximum body potential sometimes takes longer than maxing the skill because there are other factors to it.

With this you actually need to pay attention to the food your sims eat, just not how often they are exercising. There is a subtle calories system in the game so if your sim is grilling hot dogs everyday instead of eating salad they are going to have a harder time.

The best thing your sims can eat is the High Energy Protein Plate! This is something your sims can cook when they are feeling energized and it will make them gain muscle more quickly after eating it.

You can also do this with the mixology skill. At level 5 of the fitness skill your sims will be able to make a protein shake at a bar and you can drink this instead of meals to gain muscles faster!

You should also be doing both cardio and weight lifting. To reach maximum body potential your sim can’t avoid certain types of exercise!

Pro Tip: If you use the cas.fulleditmode cheat you can go into create a sim and drag the fitness bar to be the most fit your sim can be, and then get them to exercise a bit more and they should reach it slightly quicker.

Rewards for Completing The Sims 4 Bodybuilder Aspiration

When a sim finishes this aspiration you’re going to get an incredible reward. Your sims are going to get the long lived reward trait. It’s description reads “long lived lets sims live longer lives, barring any accidents.”

This trait is great because it will actually extend your sim’s life… As long as they don’t have anything bad happen like fire or weather or being eaten by a cowplant.

There is no specific amount of time that your sim will live longer. Every time I’ve gained this trait it’s been slightly different. However, all of these sims are able to see their grand kids grow up to adults, at minimum. I’ve even had elders outlast their grandkids!
