Giving compliments is a great way to show people that you care! To do this you’ll click on another sim and go to more choices and under the friendly interactions menu you’ll see a compliments option. Depending on your sim’s skills and relationships you may see different options but a heartfelt compliment will always work.
You’ll need to give three compliments total. You can give them all to the same sim, but it’s more fun to spread the love!

To finish this formative moment your sim will need to give three gifts. To give a gift you’ll want to go to the friendly interactions menu after clicking on a sim and under affection you’ll see give gift.
You’ll have two options! The first is to gift simoleons which will take them from your household funds. Your other option is to give a physical gift which would be something from your sim’s inventory like a craft they made or any random item from crystals to butterflies.
When you choose the gift your sim will go up to the other sim and give them a cute little box with a bow! The interaction is seriously so adorable.
Was a Best Formative Moment Trait
When your sim finishes this formative moment they’ll get the Was a Best Friend reward trait. This trait’s description reads “As a child, this Sim tried to be the Best Friend they could be to a group of Sims! As an adult, they’ll be more successful when using friendly socials on other sims.”
This means that when your sim is chatting with others they’ll get less embarrassed moodlets because their social interactions are less likely to fail.
