This is an interesting formative moment because it’s so open-ended. You can literally do anything to earn money as long as your sim can sell something at the end of it. Here’s some ideas:
- Selling Photos They’ve Taken to a Publication
- Selling Paper Crafts They’ve Made
- Selling Moths & Butterflies They’ve Caught
- Selling Fish They’ve Caught
- Selling Frogs They’ve Found
- Selling Plants They’ve Grown
There are so many more too! As long as the task results in a sellable item in your sim’s inventory, they can do it for this formative moment. You just need to sell a total of 1,000 simoleons which isn’t even that hard to do.
Business-Kid Reward Trait
When your sim manages to sell the 1,000 simoleons of items they’ll become a business-kid. This trait’s description says “As a child, this sim wanted to be a little business sim and they did it! They sold things, made a good amount of money (for a kid) and got hands on practice running a business. As an adult, they’ll advance more quickly in the business career as well as the salaryperson career.”
