This formative moment is all about paper craft, so you’ll need to get your sim the DIY Delight Paper Crafting Kit. You can purchase this from the build catalog for 20 simoleons.
Once you have it you’ll click on it and choose to make origami or paper mache, but what you create needs to be of excellent quality.
You’ll need to have your sim raise their paper craft skill to increase the quality, and you can also make sure they are feeling inspired first because it is the ideal mood for this skill.
- “Gifts mean more when you make them.”
The second part of this formative moment is gifting your paper craft creations. To do this you’ll click on a sim that your child knows and go into the friendly menu, then go to more choices > affection and choose gift papercraft.
When you click this a menu will open and it will show you all of the paper craft your sim currently has in their inventory and you can choose it to start the interaction. Your sim will need to gift three items, you can gift to the same sim over and over if you want, or choose different sims instead.
Crafty Kid Reward Trait
When you finish off this formative moment your sim will get the crafty kid trait as a reward. The trait’s description reads “As a Child, this sim spent a lot of time making things. As an adult, they will advance more quickly in the Papercraft Skill as well as in the painter and art critic careers.”
This is such a nice trait to have if you want your sim to be artistic! They can get promoted in the painter career or the art critic careers faster and will gain paper craft more quickly too.
