For this you’ll either need to use your sim’s phone or purchase them a camera. If you have a camera you’ll go into your inventory and click the camera and choose take photo of and pick a sim. Take their photo!
On a phone it works the same but you’ll go to the camera app and choose take photo of and choose the sim. Take their photo in whatever pose you want and the finished image will end up in your sim’s inventory.

After taking your photos you’ll find them in your sim’s inventory and you can click on them and choose sell to publication. Your sim will get a few dollars per photo and you’ll need to sell two photos to satisfy this requirement.
Miniature Photographer Trait
When you finally finish this formative moment your sim will get the miniature photographer trait. This trait’s description says “As a Child, this sim really wanted to be a successful photographer. They even made some money doing it! As an adult, they’ll advance more quickly in the freelance fashion photographer career.”
