The Sims 4 Be a Completionist Formative Moment
Finishing collections is hard but with the Sims 4 Be a Completionist Formative Moment your kid can try to do it!
These formative moments from The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits have a huge impact on your sims and their future by giving them adult-centered traits.
The Sims 4 Be a Completionist Formative Moment

- “I bet I can trade up my collectable 3 times!”
This entire formative moment focuses on one sim, Buddy Scoop. This child is the Gibbi Point Collector who you can find in the Crystal Valley neighbourhood at the top by the abandoned mine shaft.

For this part of the formative moment you’ll need to bring your own collectable items to trade with Buddy. The goal of this is to “trade up” meaning you give something cheap and easy to find, and get something better back!

When you choose this option you’ll get a menu to choose what you want to trade and then Buddy will give you an item as a gift. If the item is worth more than yours, you’ll satisfy one of these requirements. If not, you just need to do it over and over until you finish this.
- “I’m going to try to win 2 collectibles off of Buddy Scoop!”
The other thing you can do with Buddy is try and win collectables by playing them in Rock, Paper, Scissors. To do this you’ll use the Play for Collectable against Buddy interaction.

When you click this a menu will appear and you can choose a collectable to try and win. It usually shows one, but if you tried to win it and failed it can appear for a while until you get it.

For some reason my sim sucked at this and it took forever to win against Buddy, so he’s very smart and good at the game but it isn’t impossible!
Childhood Collector Trait
When your sim finishes this formative moment they’ll get the childhood collector trait. This trait’s description reads “As a Child, this Sim started their own collection and had dreams of expanding it in the future! As an adult, they’ll have a better chance at winning collectibles from Buddy Scoop, the collector kid.”

If you’re working through collections and trying to finish them in the game, this can be so helpful. You’ll always get a collection item that you haven’t had yet so you can finish off collections easier!
