How to Mentor Your Child in The Sims 4

If you want your kids to gain skills quick you should mentor your child in The Sims 4.

When you mentor skills the target sim will gain the skill so much faster than if they learned it alone.

How to Mentor Your Child in The Sims 4

The first thing you need to do to be able to mentor a child is gain at least level 5 of whatever skill you’re trying to mentor. Here’s some base game skills that kids can earn and be mentored in:

  • Fishing
  • Logic
  • Piano
  • Violin
  • Video Gaming

So, once your sim has level 5 of these skills you are ready to mentor. To do this you can click on the specific item for the skill (i.e., a chess board for the logic skill) and click mentoring and choose to mentor your child.

You can also have a child click on the item and click ask for mentoring from their parent to do this!

You can also have your child start doing the task (i.e., playing violin) and then control the adult and click on the child and choose mentor violin.

This works the same way for all of these skills and your children will gain both the regular skill and the children’s fundamental skill associated with it (i.e., mental skill for logic or creativity skill for piano).

Well, now that you’ve learned how you can mentor your children you’re able to finish off the successful lineage aspiration and get your sim so many skills so quick!
