How to Make Excellent Jewelry in The Sims 4
Everything you craft in The Sims 4 (from paintings to woodworking pieces) has a quality ranking. You can see poor quality when you have low skills and even excellent and outstanding quality for some items.
To get your sim to the level where they can craft excellent quality jewelry you’ll need to consider a couple factors:
- Your sim’s mood when crafting
- Your sim’s needs when they are crafting
- Your sim’s traits
- Your sim’s level of the gemology skill
So what does all of that mean? Well, first off your sim should be in the right mood for the gemology skill. The ideal mood for this skill is focused. To get your sim to feel focused easily you can give them the genius or practice makes perfect traits or you can get them to ponder moves on a chess board.
Next, you’ll want to make sure that your sim is in a good mood. A sim who has to pee and hasn’t slept recently isn’t going to make high quality items!
Your sim can also have specific traits that can help them create items that are higher quality. For example, the perfectionist trait is great. It makes your sim craft slower but they will always make higher quality items.
Finally, you’ll see an increase in quality as your sim increase their level of the gemology skill, of course. A sim with one level of the skill won’t be able to craft high quality pieces.
Want to cheat the skill? Use stats.set_skill_level major_gemology 10 to max it out. Or you can change it to any level from 1-10 by changing the 10 at the end.
With all of that knowledge you’ll be able to easily craft excellent (or higher) quality jewelry to gift or sell for extra money!
