To increase a sim’s spellcaster rank you need to gain spellcaster XP which are given to your sim any time they do something with magic. So, there are tons of ways your sim can gain these experience points.

The first way is going up to a cauldron and experimenting or creating potions. This is a fun to gain experience because your sims can get powerful potions that can impact a sim’s mood while also gaining these points to increase their rank.

The next thing you can do is find one of the three sages in the magic realm and click on them and choose ask for magical training. This is a great way to earn XP and you might even learn a spell from them!

Next, you can click on your sim and choose practice magic and choose a type of magic to practice. Your sim can do this over and over (just watch their charge so they don’t die). This too is a great way to learn spells!

Another way to gain spellcaster XP to increase your rank is to participate in duels! There are five types of duels and the ones where you can duel for ingredients and artifacts are so fun.

The final way your sim can earn spellcaster XP is by doing any of the spells they’ve learned. So, you can create delicious meals with the Delicioso spell or zap sims with ZipZap and get XP by doing it!

Gaining Spellcaster XP Faster With Bloodlines

Being a spellcaster is in your sim’s blood! Sims who have magical lineage are going to actually earn spellcaster experience points faster so they can increase their rank quicker than regular sims. There are three steps to bloodline traits that sims can have:

• Weak Bloodline: Has at least one parent who is a spellcaster
  • These sims gain an additional talent point to spend on perks
  • Gain spellcaster XP faster than normal
  • Reduces chance of overload by 10%
• Strong Bloodline: Has at least one parent with the weak bloodline trait, so their grandparent was a spellcaster
  • Gains an additional talent point to spend on perks
  • Gains spellcaster experience faster than weak bloodline sims
  • Reduces chance of overload by 20%
• Ancient Bloodline: Has one or more parents with a strong or ancient bloodline.
  • These sims gain another additional point to spend on perks
  • Gain spellcaster experience points faster than strong bloodline sims
  • Reduces the chance of overload by 50%
