How to Get Wolf-B-Gone Recipe in The Sims 4
Being able to get Wolf-B-Gone recipe in The Sims 4 is elusive to many but it doesn’t need to be!
This is a recipe from The Sims 4: Werewolves and lets you stop being a werewolf and go back to normal.
Note: I have not been able to get the recipe with a regular sim. Your sim needs to have a Lunar Epiphany which is a dormant ability for werewolves, so I can only make this works for werewolves!
Having a Lunar Epiphany
The recipe for Wolf-b-gone is found in books, but these are special books. The first time you read werewolf books your sim won’t get that much from them, you’ll need to unlock the lunar epiphany dormant ability to be able to understand the language fully and get more from them.
To unlock this for your sim you just need them to read werewolf books until they unlock it. There are werewolf books you can purchase from a bookcase that will satisfy this. Here are some options:

- Fanged Friends Forever
- Packs & Prejudice
- There Werewolf Who Came in From The Cold
- The Wolf Next Door
Purchase one of these books and have your werewolf sim read it until they unlock the lunar epiphany.
How to Get Wolf-B-Gone Recipe in The Sims 4
Now that your sim has had their Lunar Epiphany you’ll need to find the correct books to find the recipe. I’ve found that there are two books that will teach your sim this recipe.
- The History of Moonwood Mill
- The Diary of Gregorius Lunvik
These books aren’t able to be purchased from a bookcase, you’ll need to find them yourself. To do this you’ll need to purchase two werewolf abilities. The first one is Scavenger, which is unlocked at Rank 1 and allows your sim to click on the ground and scavenge to try and find items.
You can find the books through scavenging randomly, but adding enhanced smell will improve your chances by a ton! That werewolf ability is at rank two, right above Scavenger and lets you click on your sim and enhance their smell and a small scent cloud will appear on the ground.
You can click on that scent spot and scavenge there and you’ll be guaranteed to find an item. You just need to keep scavenging on the ground and then enhancing the smell of your sim over and over until you find one of these two books.
Once you find one of the two books listed through scavenging you’ll need to have your sim read it over and over until you get the right notification. It will start with “This particular page appears to have a shimmering enchantment overtop that your sim is able to read through.”
Once you see that specific notification you’ll be able to go to a bar and click on it and choose make drink and you’ll see Wolf-B-Gone in the list. To make this your sim will need to harvest moonpetal during a full moon and get some wolfsbane as well.
Now that you know how you can get the recipe, you can craft it with some wild wolfsbane and moonpetal and then be able to cure your sim of being a werewolf!
